University Entrance- new to painting

I'm very new to painting & sketching as a hobby, and so far I've been using acrylic markers for on location sketching. This is my first attempt at urban sketching with watercolour and pen. I actually haven't used watercolour since elementary school.

I took a photo of this building at a nearby university and decided it would be a fun thing to start with. I really enjoyed using the watercolours, even if my perspective sketching skills still need a lot of practice. Marsketcher & Jillee Arts on YouTube both were great resources for getting started!

How "flashy" is the bezel on the S400 in blue?

I've been looking into the S400 for a while now, and after comparing it a lot of alternatives at it's price range, I'm feeling confident it's the right pick. My only dilemma at this point is picking the colour! This is trickier than usual because I can't try the watch on in person.

I've been leaning towards the blue (as pictured) but there's limited photos / videos of it online. I'm curious if anyone who owns one could give me an idea of how "flashy" the bezel is? Is it constantly flashing bright blue as you move your wrist? Or is it just at specific angles? It's between this and the obviously more subdued black at the moment.

I'd also be super appreciative if anyone was willing to share some pics / video in natural daylight.

[WW] New to painting - Tried my hand at Wind Waker [OC]

I'm taking up painting (using Acrylic Paint Markers on a sketchbook) very casually as a hobby to unwind a bit. I wanted to try this wave technique, and felt it was a good fit for Wind Waker's vibe.

The waves didn't turn out exactly right on this first attempt (I think I need to adjust the dark blue shapes next time), but I figured I'd share it here!

[Discussion] What's the ugliest watch you can't help but love?

I think these G-Shock GA-V01 watches are obviously extremely ugly. But that's also kind of the point - they have a ridiculous design that calls back to the wacky aesthetics of the Y2K-era. The toy-like, amorphous case paired with the sunglasses shaped display are honestly endearingly goofy. I'm never going to buy one, but every time I see a picture of one I can't help but love the fact they exist.

But thinking about this eye-sore of a g-shock made me wonder if there are other ugly watches that are some enthusiast's guilty-pleasure?

[Timex & Oceanus] My first daily watch next to my current daily.

I was helping my parents clear some old boxes from their house and found my first watch inside one of them. There is a sad absence of good car-themed stretchy watch bands on the market today. Love the classic "Beep Beep" seconds hand. My current daily watch for size comparison.

Swipe for the obligatory "is my watch too big" pic.

Went to Rome is January (first ever international trip) and was eager to recreate this John Goldicutt painting. This was my closest attempt!

It's interesting to see how much, as well as how little has changed
