Was it a bad idea to repeatedly try to boot my pc (prob like 10 tries but 5 successful ones) but the successful ones only lasted like 3-10 minutes on a potentially dying psu and its dead now

Whenever it would shut down it would just be in kinda like a pre post state where fans are spinning in low rpm and if it fails to boot it just spins the fans at low rpm and not show the post screen

So i had a problem with my pc for a week now and i wanna rule out the gpu cuz its either a psu or gpu that is broken
And im planning to go to my friend tot est it out and he has the keytech 650w bronze psu

Before all these happened after transporting my pc back to my apartment i had problems with post and it took like 5minutes of waiting before it booted.
But before that i had problems with posting i kept reseating my cmos gpu and ram so i used it for like 6 hrs playing marvel rivals and rainbow six siege

But the next day i was on discord and minecraft for an hr and when i launched rivals for 10 mins it just went black audio was cut but fans still spinning at low rpm

I bought a r7 5700x and it came with gd900 thermal paste just yesterday
the thermal grizzly kryonaut just arrived earlier today. Should i replace the paste and what app can i use to monitor temps

Im currently upgrading from 2600 to 5700x and when i installed it the pc didnt boot. I wanna know what yall did like update bios in order to use a 5000 series on the motherboard

Im pairing it with a 3070
Im decide whether I should get a r7 5700x for 9k or a r5 5600 for 7k
I can use the remaining 2k if i choose the 5600 for saving up for an aio like jungle leopard v2g since im just using the stock cooler

Purpose of upgrade: I can only play fortnite at like 60 but like consitsntly drops to 40-50 on eprf mode with perf mode dlss
I also wanna play gta with decent settings as well as have like 300-400 on val instead of 150
