Got to the restaurant and the manager said that the customer picked up the order early but was told not to cancel the order because they wanted me to have the tip! This was truly a blessing because we don’t get this often!💪🏾🙏🏾

Back in the 80s my parents used to give me money to tip the delivery driver when he brought us our food. No I’m not making the food nor expecting the customer to tip a large amount of money for a $5 meal. I do this for customers who can’t get to the store or restaurant and appreciate what most of us do this for. I know I make more than a lot of the customers who is mad at the world and take it out on gig workers. To all of the customers who say we’re not required to tip.. No you’re not required to tip.. It will be nice if you did but I’m not stressing it because others make up for the bad ones! Have a wonderful weekend everyone 💪🏾
I have seen the highest point and the lowest point on DoorDash. Through it all I can do what I want and still run my business while making decent money for 30 hours dashing. I have been tipped zero cent, 1 cent and $1000. You know what you signed up for when you got to gig working. I love what I do and will still bump my Curtis Mayfield while doing. To my fellow dashers keep your head up and jam your tunes while you accept and decline. To the Good and the BAD customers than you for the journey!
