38, with a bachelor's in design. Ive worked in design, advertising, marketing in various roles ( designer, art director, creative director ) over the last 16 years. Ive picked up a lot of skills over the years and good at my craft with a good portfolio but if im behing honest with myself its always been an unstable career, highly competitive and has been cheapened for a lot of reasons. Anyways I didnt come here to gripe about why my field of work stinks, im in a great position for a career change I have no debt, no obligations but im unsure what to get into and how with all these years of experience and luttle to no interest in anything adjacent to design. Prior to university I was a mechanic and always a hands on guy and like to tinker in general. Ive been thinking of getting into electrical as I have some knowledge and experience but its really overwhelming to "start over" espically in a trade. Curious what some of you might have gone through with a career change later in life. My current priorities are stability, resilience to automation and NO OFFICE!

What do you think a large tau force would sound like marching? I think it would sound like horses on cobblestone cuz its my favorite sound.

Loose Iron warriors list using models I'd like to play with, was curious what others would add to this? Im aiming for a solid 2K army not trying to win every game and be hyper competitive but also dont want to get stomped every game.

I haven't played since 8th have been toying around with lists before I commit to buying. Im noy crazy about the best possible list or whatever but I also dont want to lose every game or have a crap army with all the hobby time involved. I dont have the wargear listed as im rusty but the core of the list is below, maybe Vahl is a bit expensive for the 1k points and I feel like im lacking in the shooting department. i welcome any feedback!

I havent played any 40K since 8th so im a bit out of the loop. I was hoping to get some suggestions on a 1K list before i purchased some models. Im also rusty and a little confused on list building so if anything isnt possible please let me know. right now the list is 830pt so i can add something else to round it all out. I'd like something like a vehicle that shoots maybe over more infantry. Also posessed or raptors? I left off unit specifics like weapons as its a rough draft comprised of models I want. ty in advance!
