Varicocele Grade 2 and RPL - Urologist

Hi,

32M 32F

TW: three losses all before three weeks. Wife has endo and coagulation issues. So not sure who caused the losses.

Varicocele with 33% dna frag. All other parameters are excellent. Varicocele was grade 2.

Met with a reproductive urologist today. Doc couldn’t be sure this was our cause of Mc. Doc didn’t push surgery per say…. Just said it’s an option. I asked about supplements and the doc was okay with supplements for three months as a conservative approach.

Any one have any advice or suggestions of next steps?

Metformin Vs Ovaistol

Hi everyone!

I was just “diagnosed” my only symptoms are “possible polycystic ovaries” on ultrasound.

I am 32. A1c is good, glucose, insulin, I’m
Lean, Amh is 3.5, afc is around 14 but probably slightly higher, ovulate on my own, been pregnant naturally but can’t seem to keep them. No LC.

The doctor put me on metformin. It’s been 3 weeks of pure hell. I’m only on 750 once a day. I am on extended release. I take with dinner. I eat a balanced diet. I’m still nhave nausea, I’m throwing up and having diarrhea. I seem to be doing all the things right. When does it end?!?! (I also have IBS and always had a sensitive stomach).

I was going to ask my doctor about two things

  1. Going down to 500mg? And trying to increase more slowly?
  2. Ovaistol instead?

I really can’t take the GI symptoms. I’ve been on vacation while testing this out and I go back to work next week and I’m not sure how I’m going to do it! I work with children so I can’t be running to the bathroom every 5 minutes.

I’m wondering if it’s worth trying a lower dose or maybe if ovaistol would be better for me. My last episode was Saturday night and I haven’t taken a dose since.

Any advice I really appreciate it. I’m terrified of another loss… but I can’t be doing this to myself for the next 6 months to a year! I’m supposed to be on a three month supppement regimen but I can’t even get down the supplements.

I apologize for the rant! But really appreciate the support!

PAI 4G/4G

Anyone know anything about the PAI 4G/4G variant?

I tested positive for it.

Is the treatment just baby aspirin and lovenox? Or metformin too? Why would someone be put on metformin for this?

Thanks in advance!

Metformin and inflammation?

Hi

Anyone on metformin here? Endo (already had my lap) and was told I have possible polycystic ovaries yet I’m not meeting all the criteria.

I started metformin 3 weeks ago. I’m not reacting well to it. Doc says it’s normal.

Doc said to kee up with it because it’s good for endometriosis inflammation? I can’t find any evidence of this:

For the record I’m throwing up and having horrible GI symptoms and for me I’m not sure this is worth it.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Metformin for RPL and side effects

Hi

Has anyone had any luck on metformin? I was told I have possible polycystic ovaries and maybe have lean PCOS.

I started metformin 3 weeks ago.

The first week was okay on 750 just nausea. The second week was better. On week 3, I bumped up to 750 twice a day. Then next day I immediately threw up uncontrollably. Doctor said to go back down to 750. I went back down to 750 and did okay. Now it’s been about 5 days and I’m having sharp stomach pain that comes in waves.

The doctor doesn’t seem super concerned but to me, I haven’t seen much improvement. It’s been almost a month and I feel like I’m not reacting well to this.

I’m also wondering if it’s worth it for me
To continue… considering I didn’t get an official diagnosis. It’s truly making me miserable.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

How long are surgery benefits good for?

Hi everyone,

TW: three early miscarriages. 6 weeks, 6 weeks, 4.5 weeks. 32M/32F

Had the surgery. Stage 3 endo… minimal ovarian involvement. It went great! Recovery was easy. Doc said try between months 3-6 because that’s the best time for success.

I’m currently at month 3.

Well now, I just found out my husband has 33% DNA frag. Doc wants to try 3 months of supplements before we make any decisions.

I’m so angry. That would put me at 6 months post surgery for my possible first attempt. Even then, if results don’t come down, they’ll likely tell me to start IVF which I know is a long process.

How long does benefits of surgery last for fertility purposes? I’m nervous my window is closing. I understand their logic… I’ve never had an issue conceiving just had multiple losses. They want to make sure the next one sticks which I appreciate.

Thanks in advance!

Endo lap complete… now 33% DNA frag with varicocele

Feeling incredibly defeated.

I finally thought we had the whole puzzle together. I was diagnosed with blood clotting disorders and endometriosis. I just had endo surgery.

I am supposed to start a medicated cycle this week.

My husband has varicocele so we did a DNA frag test before we started. It came back at 33%. I’m devastated.

TW: we had three losses. 6 weeks, 6 weeks, 4.5 weeks. All spontaneous losses.

Doctor might put him on supplements. We are supposed to start this cycle and idk if I should continue befause I’m scared I’m setting myself up for another loss.

Any tips, advice or words of encouragement I’d really appreciate. I feel like time is ticking wirh my endo surgery as its benefits are the best 3-6 months.

33% DNA frag

Hi!

32M 31 F

TW: three miscarriages before 6 weeks. All conceived quickly. All lost spontaneously.

Wife had endometriosis removed and has blood clotting disorders which will be treated.

We are supposed to start our first cycle TTC after endometriosis surgery and just found out make partner has 33% DNA frag from a left varicocele.

Feeling super defeated. How high is this? I’m not sure where to go from here and am scared about experiencing another loss.
