Concerns about OLED

I’ve been using a 24.5" IPS 240Hz 1080p monitor for about five years now, and I’ve reached the point where I’d like to upgrade. Right now, I’m mainly looking at 1440p 360Hz monitors, ideally OLED, but I’m still unsure whether it’s really the right choice for me.

A lot of people say they could never go back after switching to OLED and that it completely changed their gaming experience. Still, I’m not sure if it’s actually what I’m looking for or if the upgrade is worth it in my case.

I use my PC for a mix of things: mostly gaming, browsing, and some editing. I mainly play competitive games, but I also enjoy more relaxed games from time to time. During the day, my room is fairly bright since my desk is next to a window, while at night the room is darker with only indirect lighting.

What concerns me most are the things I keep reading about OLEDs — burn-in risks and weaker performance in bright rooms. Are these issues really as bad as some people make them out to be?

I’m also wondering whether a 27" monitor would suit me. I’ve always used a 24.5" display, and since I play semi-competitively, I’m a little worried that 27" might feel too large or less comfortable for fast-paced games.

Has anyone else had similar concerns before upgrading? I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences or recommendations, especially from people who made a similar switch.

Buying gaming Monitor 2026

Hello, I’m currently looking to buy a new gaming monitor. I’ve been using a Dell Full HD 240Hz LCD monitor for around 5 years now (The Dell S2522HG to be exact). Back when I bought it, I didn’t do a ton of research, but I never really regretted the purchase either.

Now I want to upgrade to something higher quality, so I started watching YouTube videos and looking into monitor specs. But honestly, I got overwhelmed pretty quickly. There’s just so much information, and unlike things like keyboards or mice, I can’t really tell what’s actually good or bad on my own — most of my opinions end up being based on what other people say.

So I wanted to ask:
What should I actually look for when buying a gaming monitor nowadays? Are there certain specs or monitor types that are generally considered the best right now? And do you have any tips, YouTubers, videos, or other resources that could help me understand the topic better and make a good buying decision?

New Movement Tech?

I’m not sure whether this was a glitch or something that can actually be done consistently. I tapped in and wanted to superglide the cube, but instead it launched me to the right at a speed that felt even faster than a normal superglide. From my perspective, the speed looked similar to a fall-stun cancel.

Does anyone know what caused this or how to recreate it?

I have been using the Razer Viper Mini for about 5 or 6 years now, but it has started to wear out and doesn’t perform as well anymore. So I’m currently looking for an upgrade.

I’ve noticed that I mostly use a claw grip, and my hand size is around 18.5–19 cm in length and 9.5–10 cm in width. I’ve been considering the Lamzu Atlantis, but I’m unsure whether to go for the OG or the Mini version.

I’m a bit worried that the OG might feel too different compared to what I’m used to. At the same time, I feel like it could offer more consistency and better overall aiming performance due to the added stability and fuller shape.

On the other hand, I’m wondering if sticking with a smaller mouse like the Atlantis Mini would be just as good and easier to adjust to.

I’m not sure which option would be better. Does anyone have tips or recommendations based on the given expirience and info?

(If this post doesn’t comply with the rules of this subreddit, please let me know. I am just really desperate for some recommendations or tips 😄)
