Group Interview?

I recently applied to a Tax Associate position and already enrolled in their tax course. Due to the district manager’s schedule being too busy, they said it’s going to be a group interview on Teams.

I’m not new to interviews but one with multiple candidates is the first. How should I best prepare for it?

I’m finishing up my Accounting degree. I have no experience in taxes yet.

Finished D217 AIS today and I can see why it is considered one of the hardest classes

This class caught me by surprise because it's more IT than accounting. I have an IT degree that I got several years ago and this class is very much a database class with some network/cybersecurity sprinkled on. Even back then I found those topics abstract and confusing to understand and they are not entry level IT.

The test have a lot of questions that I haven't seen before so I had to logic my way to the right answer and it was usually between the last two. It was a lot of information to read through for the class. I think it would have been better if they had made this class two OAs or provided an intro to database/network class.

Overall, it took me two weeks, and I used a combination of:

I tried the Updated Note doc as well but found it was too dry. I'll include it here anyway in case someone is interested: Link

p/s: still personally think D101 is the hardest though

Passed D104 OA 2 and it was tough

Passed D104 OA2 today, 1st attempt and it was not easy. I was not prepared for what felt like 50 percent of Stockholder's Equity questions. Some questions I have never seen before. I did all the practice questions in the study guide. I could have gone over and redo all the quizzes in the textbook, but after over a month with this class, I am so done.

So my advice for anyone who is taking this class is to spend more time study Stockholder's Equity, make sure you understand all the concepts. They asked everything.

There was also some questions about acid test ratio that was not on the study guide as well.

Overall, I'm just happy to be done with this class.

My Experience with Kobo Libra Colour Black vs White

I wanted to upgrade my ereader to something else that is not Kindle so after a lot of researching, I decided on Kobo Libra Colour. I also tried the Boox Go Color 7 for half a day and hated it but that's a different story.

I was torn between choosing black or white bezel. I was originally drawn to white because it looks aesthetically pleasing. I ordered the white first and has been using it for about a week. One day at my boyfriend's place, I noticed I couldn't focus on reading because the bezel kept distracting me. I figure it could be because the light in his room is different from mine and I'm not used to that so I had to do some tweaking to make it more comfortable. It bugged me out since.

So I ordered a black one to test it out. And right away I can see that the reading experience is noticeably different. I find it easier to focus with the black bezel. After a couple of minutes, the bezel just "disappears", giving it a more immersive reading experience.

Meanwhile, with the white one, I tend to adjust the brightness 20% higher in comparison just to read comfortably. The bezel never really disappears. It's always "brighter" than the screen, which bothers me more than I thought. People here also pointed out that the screen looks grayer as well, which I agree.

Dark mode also looks better with the dark bezel, but they look the same in the dark as I tend to read before falling asleep.

So I'm going to return the white and keep the black one. It fits my needs better. I just want to read and not planning on decorating it.

I have included photos of them side by side in various settings and lighting. I don't think my phone can really capture everything. Trying them out in person is the best way, but I know it's not feasible for everyone.

Edit: This is how they look reading manga https://imgur.com/a/mtuypzV
