I stayed longer than I should have in a job that wasn't paying me what I was worth. Leaving felt terrifying, at least it was guaranteed. Eventually I got tired of trading my time for less than I deserved and made the jump into building my own product. No safety net, no guarantees.

What I learned? Most people never make that move not because they can't, but because the small guaranteed thing mostly feels safer than the big uncertain one. But now I'd rather bet on myself and lose than stay comfortable and wonder forever.

Has anyone else been in this position? What finally made you go for it?

Most projects start as weekend experiments with no real expectations. But at some point something shifts when you get a first paying customer, a stranger using it on their own or just a growing conviction that you were solving a real problem.

I was thinking about Gen-Z recently and it's kind of interesting how different some habits are compared to older generations.

What's the weirdest thing you've noticed about Gen Z?

As someone who grew up in Africa, taking a midday nap as a kid was basically mandatory, back then I used to think naps were pure punishment, but now the honestly feel like luxury.

We've all had that one project where juggling multiple APIs turned into a headache. What's been your biggest challenge or pain point when integrating different APIs? Let's share experiences!

For me it's just rice with lentil soup, I am curious to know, what's that meal you think you can never get tired of, even if it can be served on the table everyday?

Entertainment in Rwanda has been evolving, from concerts, film, and comedy shows to streaming platforms and festivals.

Beyond usual suspects like ads, SEO and social media, sometimes the best traction comes from unexpected places. I've seen founders get surprising results from niche communities, partnerships, or even offline events.

curious to hear, what's one growth channel you tried that turned out way more effective than you expected?

From transport to paying bills, or even just finding good internet, there are small frustrations we all deal with daily. If you could change or improve one everyday thing in Rwanda to make life smoother, what would it be? Curious to hear what stands out for most people.

I am currently working on promoting my own project and I've realized that building the product was only half the battle. The real challenge now is figuring out how to get it in front of the right people and convince them to actually try it.
