I quit my job last year. Here's what I learned about myself in the process.

I stayed longer than I should have in a job that wasn't paying me what I was worth. Leaving felt terrifying, at least it was guaranteed. Eventually I got tired of trading my time for less than I deserved and made the jump into building my own product. No safety net, no guarantees.

What I learned? Most people never make that move not because they can't, but because the small guaranteed thing mostly feels safer than the big uncertain one. But now I'd rather bet on myself and lose than stay comfortable and wonder forever.

Has anyone else been in this position? What finally made you go for it?

At what building point did you realize your side project was actually worth pursuing seriously?

Most projects start as weekend experiments with no real expectations. But at some point something shifts when you get a first paying customer, a stranger using it on their own or just a growing conviction that you were solving a real problem.

That moment looks different for everyone. What was yours?
