Valheim 1.0 is almost here, and I'm looking to get a relaxed group together for a fresh playthrough.

I played through the game earlier this year with a group and had a great time. The old squad is apparently still willing to put themselves through it again, so we're already 4 people and looking to add a few more.

I'm 27, based in Sweden, pretty laid-back and fluent in irony and sarcasm. I'm not looking for a hardcore clan or people who want to rush through everything. I'd rather have a group that can explore, build, have a laugh and enjoy the game without turning it into a second job.

Schedule

Weekends will be the main time for playing. During the week, I'm also up for spontaneous sessions when I'm around.

I'm based in Sweden, so we're mainly looking at EU-friendly hours. The server will not be running 24/7. I'll be hosting when I'm available, and we'll figure out sessions that work for the group.

If you're someone who can only play at very specific times, especially mornings or early evenings, we might not be the best match.

Monday to Thursday, I’m generally available around 02:00 to 05:00 Swedish time. Weekends are much more flexible, and most evenings and nights should be fine.

The server will NOT be running 24/7. I’ll be hosting around my own availability, so if you can only play mornings, daytime or early evenings, our schedules probably won’t line up. I’ll obviously try to find times that work for as many people as possible, but I can’t have the server running whenever everyone happens to be free. I’d rather make that clear from the start.

The run will be fresh, with everyone starting from scratch. I’d like to keep things cooperative, especially around bosses and major progression, but I’m not interested in putting anyone on a leash either. Do your own thing, explore, build something stupidly ambitious, just don’t massively rush ahead and ruin the progression for everyone else.

[PC][EU] Looking for people for a fresh Valheim playthrough when the new update drops

Earlier this year I started my first full Valheim playthrough ever, and I can honestly say this game has easily made it into my top 10 games of all time.

I had an absolute blast.

We started with 6 people, and in the end 3 of us made it to the finish line, two Swedes and one Finn. 🇸🇪🇸🇪🇫🇮

So, naturally, we had the most authentic Scandinavian Valheim experience possible.

The other 3 eventually dropped off, which is honestly just the way it goes sometimes. People have different schedules, playstyles, priorities, and sometimes you just realize you're not the right fit for each other.

So, with the new update coming, I'm looking to do it all over again.

The actual start date will be sometime after the update drops, and we'll discuss and decide that together once we have the group sorted out.

First time playing Valheim? Welcome.

Played hundreds of hours and know the game inside and out? Also welcome.

I don't care whether you're a complete noob or an absolute Valheim sweat. I just want people who are respectful, considerate and enjoyable to play with.

There is no group size limit. If we end up with 4 people, great. If we end up with 10+, we'll figure it out.

And if at any point someone decides they'd rather cut loose and play solo, there are absolutely no hard feelings. Not everyone is compatible, and that's completely fine. If you want to continue on your own, I can easily send you the save file.

This is going to be a completely clean new run from scratch.

No bringing in already-levelled characters, gear, resources, etc.

Everyone starts fresh.

I want the progression, exploration and discoveries to actually mean something for everyone.

⚔️ How I'd like the playthrough to work

I'd like this to be a group experience, without turning it into some kind of Viking communist regime where we're legally required to walk everywhere together.

* Bosses will be fought together.
* I'd preferably like major exploration to be done together as well.
* You're free to go off and do your own thing.
* I'd like to avoid someone progressing massively ahead of the rest of the group.
* I'm not interested in speedrunning through everything because someone already knows exactly what to do.
* Most importantly, don't ruin other people's progression.

🕐 Schedule / Availability

I'm based in Sweden / EU.

Monday–Thursday: I'm generally available late at night, roughly 02:00–05:00 Swedish time.

Weekends: Much more flexible. Most evenings/nights I should be available without any major problems.

These are ballpark times, but they aren't likely to change dramatically.

When it comes to the server, I'll be hosting around my own availability. I'll definitely try to include everyone and find times that work for as many people as possible, but obviously it's going to be impossible to have the entire group online every time.

The times I've listed above are a pretty good indication of when I'll actually be available, so there probably won't be much deviation from them.

For example, if you're someone who can only play mornings, daytime or early evenings, unfortunately our schedules probably aren't going to line up very well.

I just want to be upfront about that rather than have someone join expecting the server to be available whenever they happen to be free.

Voice chat isn't mandatory, but preferred. I'll use Discord for the group so we can coordinate and hang out.

🛠️ Vanilla means VANILLA

The playthrough will be vanilla.

I'm not interested in mods that fundamentally bypass the game, noclip, spawning items/resources, cheating, etc.

If you bring that stuff into the server, you'll be removed. Simple as that.

I'm open to discussing minor QoL stuff with the group, but anything that gives someone an unfair advantage or bypasses progression isn't happening.

📦 Resource Rates

Depending on how many people we end up with, I'm open to running 2x resource/gathering rates, or potentially higher if the group is large enough.

The exact rates can be discussed and decided together.

I don't mind making things a little less grindy if it means we spend more time actually playing the game and less time repeatedly chopping the same tree for the 47th time.

One of the best parts of Valheim, in my opinion, is discovering things for yourself. Finding a new biome, stumbling across something you've never seen before, figuring out what something does, getting horribly lost…

Äntligen har jag sparat ihop till min första egna tandborste, vilken härlig känsla det är... Helt fantastiskt! Efter sex månader, ett helt halvt år utan tandborstning, känns det nästan som att jag fått en helt ny chans. Kan riktigt känna hur den illaluktande osen sakta lossnar och driver ut genom mungiporna medan sköljvattnet tar en gröngul och orange-rödaktig nyans. Det känns underbart, nästan lite högtidligt, och jag kan varmt rekommendera denna fantastiska upplevelse! Det här är verkligen ett bevis på att lite tålamod, några sparade kronor i månaden och en stor portion envishet till slut lönar sig! 10/10! Kommer garanterat borsta någon mer gång.

Not even sure if this is the right subreddit for this, but...

I'm looking for some people to play Battlegrounds with, or just people who also spend an unreasonable amount of their free time staring at Bob's Tavern.

I'm the type who likes chatting while the rope burns and everyone's deciding whether to greed one more level or panic buy a random taunt. Texting between turns honestly makes the slower games way more fun.

I'm also down for Duos every now and then, although I mostly play solo. I hover around 6.6k MMR, but I don't think that's really relevant. I'm not looking for coaching, sweating, or arguing whether I should've tripled into a Tier 5 instead of a Tier 6. Just looking for chill people who enjoy the game.

So far the game has been absolute chaos and way more fun than it has any right to be.
