Hey guys

I have a question: do any of you use handcarts? I want to buy one for a project where I need to transport some heavy items I bought on eBay. I don’t always want to take the car because gas is expensive and we have a great public transit system here.

I also thought I could use the handcart later for regular film work to transport my equipment. However, the last time I was on set, I noticed the grip team had a DIY camera cart. My original plan for transporting my gear was actually to build a DIY camera cart out of a Rock 'n' Roller cart, which is why I’m not sure if it’s worth investing a lot of money in a standard handcart right now.

That being said, a Rock 'n' Roller cart wouldn't be useful to me at the moment anyway, because it isn't built to transport the heavy items I’m currently collecting from eBay over very long distances. So are you using handcart on regular work ?

Guys, currently im beginner doc filmmaker i want to make a interview with someone who had a criminal past but i truefulness. Whats your approach for a background check to see if that what he tell is the truth ?.

Guys, one question:

For a project, I’m building a camera helmet rig. The problem is, I don’t want to use my FX3 or the Sony A7SIII for this because some movements in the scene could be a little too fast, and I don't want to risk damaging either camera. I’ve read that the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro could be a good alternative, especially since it has good low-light performance, which is essential for the shoot. However, I’ve never used this camera, and I don’t know if DJI's D-Log M matches well with the S-Log3 color profile of my FX3. Do any of you have experience with this camera? How was it?"

Ich bin derzeit Student und filme für ein Projekt ein Musikvideo. Nur habe ich immer wieder den Struggle, gute Drehorte und Räumlichkeiten, wie passende Zimmer, zu finden. Hat einer irgendwelche Tipps, wie und wo man als Student gute Drehorte für wenig Geld finden kann in Düsseldorf oder NRW ? Vielleicht kann mir ja einer weiterhelfen.

ich habe da eine Frage. Es geht darum, dass mein Semesterticket vor einigen Wochen bei einer Kontrolle der DB als ungültig angezeigt wurde. Der Fehler lag jedoch an unserer Uni-App, da es dort technische Störungen gab. Mein Ticket war eigentlich gültig, was sich auch bestätigen lässt, da ich kurz zuvor in Köln kontrolliert wurde und es dort als gültig angezeigt worden war.

Als ich jedoch in einem anderen Zug Richtung Siegburg/Bonn war, wurde es wieder als ungültig angezeigt. Ich habe mich per E-Mail an unseren AStA gewendet, der sich eigentlich dieses Problems annehmen wollte, wie es auch auf Instagram kommuniziert wurde. Leider wurde zu viel Zeit verstreichen lassen, weshalb die Mahnung bereits verschickt wurde und die Zwei-Wochen-Frist verstrichen ist. Das führt dazu, dass ich nun nicht nur die 7 Euro Bearbeitungsgebühr, sondern die vollen 60 Euro zusätzlich zahlen soll – sprich 67 Euro.

Ich habe dort angerufen, aber man sagte mir leider, dass man ab diesem Zeitpunkt nichts mehr für mich tun könne. Ich müsse nun einen Kulanzantrag stellen, um eventuell wieder auf die 7 Euro Bearbeitungsgebühr herunterzukommen. Optional gäbe es die Möglichkeit, dass der AStA wegen des Versäumnisses von seiner Seite die Kosten trägt. Hier bin ich mir jedoch unsicher: Ich befürchte, dass sie am Ende nur für die 7 Euro aufkommen und ich auf den restlichen 60 Euro sitzen bleibe.

Es ist echt nervig, dass ich als Student wegen so einer Sache so viel zahlen muss, vor allem, da ich ein gültiges Ticket besitze. Wenn es irgendwie nachweisbar wäre, würde die Kontrolle davor dies bestätigen.

Nun meine Frage: Wie schätzt ihr unter diesen Umständen die Chancen für einen Kulanzantrag ein? Ich weiß, ich hätte das Ticket pünktlich nachreichen sollen, aber ich wusste schlichtweg nichts von dieser Frist – die Quittung war etwas verschwommen und ich war mir unsicher, ob der Fehler in der App bereits behoben war.

He never really learned to use tools like Adobe for his work - only PowerPoint and some basic video editing for his presentations. My question is: Was it normal in the past (or is it still normal) for an Art Director or Creative Director in advertising not to know any creative tools? According to my professor, he was the 'mastermind' behind the creative process and had other people to do the execution for him. Is that normal ?

Hey guys, I’m not a colorist by any means, but I want to try some film emulation for my own work and projects. I’ve read that Filmbox is the way to go. The Pro version is a little too expensive for me to buy right now, but I see that Filmbox has a more affordable beginner version called 'Filmbox Looks'. I’m considering going with that. However, there is also 'FilmUnlimited' by Juan Melara, which is also reasonably priced for the full version. My question is: For a beginner like me, is it more worth it to buy the three-month subscription for Filmbox Looks or the full version of FilmUnlimited?

Tut mir leid für den Titel. Das ist kein Basching oder so etwas, sondern eine ernstgemeinte Frage. Ich hatte vor vielen Jahren einen Bekannten der mir sagte das Rheinland-Pfalz dir Hölle auf Erden für Junge Menschen ist, da es wenig Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten für Menschen wie ihn gibt, vorallem wenn man Ländlich lebt. Im Kontrast dazu seien Städte wie Düsseldorf oder Köln, der Himmel auf Erden. Ist das war, ist Rheinland- Pfalz wirklich so schlimm ?
