The Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection was widely regarded as a disappointment due to poor netcode, frequent crashes, lack of features like lobbies at launch, etc. The Capcom Fighting Collections are like 10x better in all these aspects.
However, despite all of that, MK Legacy Kollection has developed a real community with tons of people who play everyday and stream. The CFCs are still somewhat active but it’s like night and day when compared to the passion and excitement that still surrounds the MK Kollection.
I can hardly believe that Digital Eclipse of all companies pulled this off. Crossplay is undoubtedly a MAJOR factor. Even with the lobbies still crashing all the time and tons of bugs it’s still far more active with an engaged community than the CFCs. There are some other smaller retro collections with crossplay like the Breakers Collection so it’s clearly very doable.
I really think companies like Capcom should reconsider this. I have read that Sony is the hurdle and that they charge a large fee to allow crossplay with other platforms (not sure if this is 100% true). Whatever the reason, I think it’s probably worth whatever hoops they’d have to jump through to make it happen. It would breathe new life into their classic games and likely lead to a legit community of players for years.
With only a few days to go before Tuesday night's first round of the NBA Draft, multiple draft experts have passed along that they legitimately believe Washington could select Kansas' Darryn Peterson over BYU's AJ Dybantsa with the No. 1 overall pick.
"Increased consideration" is the way one well-placed insider put it.
Regular readers know that I don't really curate a full 1-to-60 draft board ... but I can certainly say that I've been expecting Dybantsa's name to be called first by Adam Silver in Brooklyn for literally months.
Peterson's camp, of course, expects to invalidate such expectations and prevail in a photo finish. The Wizards, as you've surely heard by now, are the only team being granting a private workout with the Kansas star in advance of the draft.
How serious are the Wiz about selecting Peterson after all the Dybantsa hype? Is such chatter some sort of smokescreen? These are natural questions that we can probably only answer for sure shortly after 8 PM ET on Tuesday.
Yet we can certainly say this much now: Jazz owner and BYU alumnus Ryan Smith would undoubtedly be giddy with this outcome. Especially just one year removed from the Jazz going 17-65 to post the league's worst record and coming away with the fifth pick in the Cooper Flagg Sweepstakes.
Dybantsa slipping to No. 2 this June, for Smith and his Jazz, would be a dream.
PS — What we can also say, according to league sources, is that neither Duke's Cam Boozer nor North Carolina's Caleb Wilson are in contention to go No. 1 overall. Boozer is widely projected to go to Memphis at No. 3 and Wilson is expected to go to Chicago at No. 4 as Bryson Graham's first-ever draftee as the Bulls' new lead decision-maker.

Ok I will not name names but I wouldn’t be surprised if some Switch players know who I’m talking about. This player used to be on MvC2 all day. They are a Warlord rank in that game. I took a few months off from the game and came back. Now this player sits on COTA queue all day but refuses to match with people. I’ve probably matched with him well over 100 times and only actually played COTA against him once.
None of that is all that bizarre but it got weirder when I finally played a game of COTA with him. I beat him and saw that he is Bronze rank in COTA. Now there’s no shame in being a Bronze player, but this guy is literally sitting in queue ALL the time. I’m not exaggerating he is online in the queue nearly EVERY time I log on. I assumed he had some personal issue with me (not sure why) but he must do this to everyone if he’s still in Bronze rank.
I just don’t understand this behavior. He was not like this when he was playing MvC2. I just am genuinely having a hard time finding a rationalization for someone to spend their time like this. He’s gone back to declining every match with me after ONE match lol.
Is Google correct or are there examples of cramping messing up a career?
Edit: for the people with their panties in a bunch because of A.I., I’m literally asking if this statement is accurate. I am NOT quoting A.I. to make a statement of fact I am explicitly asking if it is accurate. I have to assume some people only read the title? It’s either that or they’re just desperate to dance around the question.
Edit 2: looks we got the answer. It is irrational to think a few weeks of cramping during a college season could possibly derail an NBA career considering there is not a single historical example of that happening. This upsets a few AJ stans who are latching onto the fact I googled something and quoted the result when I posed the question. This was a pretty solid thread until they showed up lol.

Just 2 ice cold 3s to win the game. This particular highlight is probably a big part of the Kobe comparisons (though it’s also just the uncanny ability to make off-balance highly contested shots from any range in general). Teammate tries to give it away at the end with a TO but KU holds on for the win.
Now I know people will immediately jump to “of course he is because he’s a KU guy!” just like they said “of course Gil and John want him he next Wizards star player to be a guard just like them!” But I do wonder, does all these people connected to the franchise speaking out in favor of DP signal something?
I generally agree with Drew’s takes if you watch the video clip embedded in the article. Basically boils down to DP is an NBA-ready basketball savant. Says AJ and Caleb could develop into that as well but seems more impressed by DP as it stands right now.
It almost feels like I’m in a Twilight Zone episode sometimes. Everyone around me just seems totally unbothered and unaffected by awful smelling air. It comes in waves. It just started again just now with the rain but it was also there on Sunday which was a very sunny day. I did some reading and have found older posts referencing this type of thing and some news articles so I know I’m not the only one but it just seems insane to me that the city allows this. It gives me physical symptoms when it’s bad. It’s not just the smell that bothers me.
