An absolute cracker of a Ruben @ Aarth in Auckland

There's a Toastie takeover happening across New Zealand at the moment. This place is a fancy Indian fusion place that decided to get involved

It's not your stereotypical Reuben with some house made pickle with some Indian spices instead of the classic stuff but it was honestly up there with one of the best ones I've ever had

My partner got the chicken and cheese which was like a Thai curry chicken pesto(?) with mozzarella. She's proudly showing it in the second pic 😂

Both were so good, if you're around this side of the world you would wanna get them before the Toastie Takeover ends

Edit - Just as a quick confirmation, I am not a paid influencer in any way, shape or form (obviously haha) this place is just the absolute business with their limited time sammies

And I am aware I'm dumb and I misspelled Reuben but I can't change the title 🙃

Girlfriend is hosting a flash day at her tattoo studio and I'm making her some lunch 🥪

This is a variation of my favourite sandwich but just what I had on hand. Don't always have my favourite stuffed olives and fancy pants bread

We have as follows;

Sourdough

Mayo

Iceberg

Tomatoes w/ S&P

Mayo Chicken Pesto mix

Piquanté Peppers

Homemade Pickles (sweet and spicy 👌🏻)

And of course I made one for myself too. Be rude not to. Bit messy but I'm not a professional chef, just an enthusiast

Sometimes the best part of the hike is the treat at the top

I love getting out into nature and for a good hike, but sometimes I think I plan them specifically for the sandwich at the top

Not my own this time either but it's from Gloria's Deli in Auckland. From bottom to top - lettuce, turkey, ham, salami, provolone, tomatoes w/ a tangy mayo on herby focaccia 👌🏻

My local burger spot did a Philly Cheese spesh

I've never had one from philly but if they're anything like this, I gotta plan a sandwich tour of America

Hoagie baked in house with spicy beef, fried peppers and onions w/ jalapenos and gooey cheese sauce

You know it's good when even the beer agrees

Edit: Guys, it was called the Philly Cheesesteak special, I'm just a parrot. I didn't mean to personally offend the traditional sandwich. I even said I've never had one.

They call this one "The Mile High" Club Sandwich

Not one of my own creations and but an absolute outrageous 10/10

Smoked ham, pastrami, turkey, dill pickles, fresh tomatoes, lettuce w/ mustard mayo on olive bread

This is my signature sandwich that I have a yearning to eat at least once a month

The ingredients may slightly change depending what's on hand but there are a few non negotiables.

We have fancy lettuce, cherry tomatoes, sweet piquanté peppers, mayo chicken pesto mix, green stuffed olives, lemon zest, olive oil, salt and pepper on a fresh ciabatta

It may be the reason I die young but fuck it's good

A delicious treat this morning

Everything homemade for this one. Porridge with vanilla syrup, berry coulois, caramelised banana with maple syrup topped with some dessicated coconut for topping

Mainly to treat my partner as she's been an excellent human, really supporting me through a hard time

I know there's a lot of love here for a tuna sandwich

This is such a comfort sandwich for me. Everyone's version is slightly different and I love that. Mine even changes depending on what's on hand

This one had celery, green olives, red onion, pickles, mayo, mustard, Mexican salsa roja, for a bit of spice, squeeze of lemon and ballymaloe relish on sourdough. So simple and so good

Homemade sammy - corned beef, dill pickles, giardinera w/ mustard mayo on sourdough

Still dining out on this giardinera I made and this sammy was the best one yet with it. Definitely less is more this time

There's nothing better in life for me than a good sandwich. The anticipation of making it followed by the joy of indulgence eating it

Dialing it in with today's sammy with less is more - Roast beef, homemade giardinera, garlic stuffed olives, iceberg w/ harissa hummus & mustard mayo on soft Italian sub

Went without the cheese today and had it more as a cold cut than a hot sammy. This was way easier to handle, wrap and eat. This one was it, actually think this was much better than yesterday. Harissa hummus was just what was in the fridge but it gave a nice smokey heat to it

Making some sauerkraut for tomorrow's one. That's gonna be a proper classic 🌭

(Cat tax paid)

Roast Beef, chorizo sausage, mozz, homemade giardinera, iceberg w/ mustard & mayo on a soft Italian sub

I made the giardinera a couple days ago and have been waiting to have this sandwich since then. It doesn't hold a candle to a hot chicago beef classic, but fuck me it hit so hard

I overstuffed it, could barely wrap it up, was messy as hell to eat but for those five minutes.. I transcended

It's a great horde clearer and satisfying as fuck. But if there is someone where you're shooting and they're fighting that particular group, maybe don't spam grenades right next to them

I had one guy continuously do it today until I had to remind him about friendly fire. Obviously in a very friendly way

It's all good, they don't have to stick around after all if they're not having fun but there are so many level 40s trying their hand at lever 7 and above who just can't hack it

It is a tad frustrating when I end up the only person alive and left in the mission while the rest are getting bogged down in endless fights, not even trying to close bug holes or do objectives. Yeah it's fun to get into scraps but when you just end up dying and quitting after 10 mins, are you really having fun

When you get that sweet squad symbiosis though 👨🏻‍🍳😘👌🏻
