Asetek have the best customer support in the industry - change my mind

So long story short, I bought a bundle consisting of the La Prima wheelbase, the La Prima formula wheel and the Forte pedals. Since the start I had an issue where the steering wheel simply stops functioning despite its LEDs being on - no encoders, no buttons, no switches work. Then it reconnects. This had the habit of happening completely on random and during races.
I entered their site and quickly contacted them regarding this. They wanted me to test with different cables, manually update the firmware as well as to see if all my PC drivers and BIOS are alright. I sent them the log files and some more photos and videos of this and they told me that the issue is actually in the wheelbase and that they will give me a new one. They quickly arranged the shipping for me and I just had to give it to the delivery driver. I sent it and now I got the message from them saying that since they don’t have available La Prima wheelbases, I’ll get a Forte! So kudos to Asetek for:
1.) being professional regarding the technical stuff and advising me what to check and change
2.) responding to my emails very quickly
3.) for sending me an even better wheelbase than the one I had instead of saying that I’ll have to wait because they don’t have any La Prima bases.
4.) for making the whole process fast and easy - I just had to send them videos, results from tests and log files. Then they advised me on the next things instead of insisting I haven’t done something correctly.

I know that it might literally sound like an advertisement but this is genuinely what happened and I am still trying to process it. I’ve had to deal with the customer support of another sim racing brand (not going to mention it) and it wasn’t even near in terms of efficiency and professionalism. Taking the upgrade aside, Asetek really do their job well in CS.

Does Assetto Corsa have active online Formula racing?

Long story short, I’ve been playing LMU for almost a year now and I’ve always felt something is off. Like my driving style isn’t suited for prototypes or GT3. After some research and tests, I found out that my natural preferences for driving are suited to formula cars: sharp steering, short time of 100% brake pressure. I’ve since tried multiple formula cars and I just love them, I feel like I am reborn with these cars. The problem is that I am not a billionaire to get into iRacing, many of the other games with open-wheelers content are dying or already dead. Assetto Corsa with high quality mods (RSS, CRC, ACFL, etc.) seems like the only viable option. I am not locked to one car or class, I love driving the 2024 F3 2020 F2, 2024 F2 SF19 (Super Formula), 2017-2019 F1, 2020-2021 F1, 2022-2025 F1 and even the 2026 F1 cars and IndyCar mods, mainly the ones made by RSS and VRC. Now, for the question:

Are there** **active online single-seater lobbies or championships in Assetto Corsa? Seems like the majority of LFM races as well as the competitions in the Content Manager menu are focuses around GT3, GT4 and sometimes the newest F1 cars. I want to be able to race the cars I mentioned above without needing to hunt for lobbies with more than 4 people in them. I am open to championships and competitions of other sorts as well. It would also be incredible if there are daily or weekly races or something like that: something you can just run without needing to enter yourself in a list of drivers.

Sorry if the post isn’t clear or organised but I tried to put it in a simple way. Huge thanks in advance!

Edit: I wasn’t aware of the FIA iRacing deal. Unfortunately, it would still be too expensive as I would like to race at least 7-8 cars on at least 12-16 circuits. I have an iRacing free trial for 3months because of my Asetek gear but it only includes single seaters in which I have no interest. Not to be picky, it’s just that the free cars are far from the performance of the ones I want to drive and I have no way to test in practice what the physics and car behaviour are like.

Was thinking about rFactor 2 and AMS2, heard they are a bit dead though. Open for suggestions of any kind :-)

Edit 2: mentioned 100% brake force but what I meant is actually that my trail braking shape is with a short duration of peak pressure, more formula-style. Sorry for the confusion.

Is it just like that sometimes?

I just finished a 60-minute Spa race. A great recovery drive while facing technical issues. I am very pleased with the result and I enjoyed it all a lot. I got the congratulations for my P6 from the race engineer. Then I saw a huge decrease in my DR. It was weird and I was surprised until I saw that the game registers my result as a DNF: over 30 places lost. Can I protest that bug or something like that or should I just accept it?

Thanks in advance!

Is this why we have TBC races?

So I was through the subreddit when I found the meaning of the stars’ arrangement. That got me thinking whether the TBC endurance races in the schedule may be on the new circuits. I am not the most informed person regarding IMSA and the multiple sub series there so can anyone check if there are any races in IMSA’s schedule in the same week as the TBC races? I know that ChatGPT can do it but would rather have a discussion here about the probable new tracks and the following endurances.

Thanks in advance!

Asetek La Prima & Forte bundle: what to expect?

I recently sold my Logitech Pro wheel and pedals bundle with the aim of upgrading and getting into a better ecosystem. simracer.at had a huge discount on the La Prima wheelbase, the La Prima wheel and the Forte pedals and I couldn’t help but order this instantly. I was initially thinking about buying the Simagic and their Alpha Evo and GT Neo bundle because I have tried them out and it felt insanely good.

I’ve heard that Asetek has probably the best QR, very refined FFB and software but the negative is the price tag. I genuinely think I got very lucky with this discount but I still have that bug in mind that this might be overrated and still overpriced. Add this to the fact that I literally had a Simagic set on the checkout page and you might get what I mean.

My question is: what to expect from this brand that, as far as I know, is quite unique and different compared to the rest? I know that their philosophy is a bit different and I am genuinely unsure about the way I should approach it all so that I enjoy my bundle. Is there anything specific that I need to know or is there anything that I have to get accustomed to? Does it require more tinkering to feel as described or is user friendliness its strength? I genuinely know only a couple of things about Asetek so I would be grateful to hear some tips, opinions and suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

I need help with my rear tire

So I’ve been building my 5KW Stealth Bomber for quite some time now and I have an unexpected problem caused by the manufacturer. I ordered a 26” rear wheel with a hub motor but it arrived as a 24” one. This is very frustrating because I have a 27.5” front rim with a Continental CrossKing ProTection. The mullet with that 24” rear will be quite aggressive and the other problem is that there don’t seem to be any good 24” tires that have any chance of withstanding the weight and power of my Bomber. What is the go-to tire choice in this scenario? Are there any proper tires that would be suitable or should I go for some sort of motorcycle tire?

Huge thanks in advance!
