Hey everyone.

Me and my partner are both junior doctors moving to the Valais in October.

We are already hunting for some places and found a decent furnished apartment with services included for 1.5kCHF / month that would take us in, pending permis.

I spoke to the lady by phone, in good French and we organized the details of the contract. We are moving mid-ocober as to finish business in our own home country, and finish paperwork before starting work.

So she sends me the contract in English, which had me a bit startled. Is it common?

Also there is a 150CHF fee for compiling the dossier and the contract.

She said she would accept swisscaution which is a point in favor of it not being a scam...but since it's the first time we are looking for an apartment, I would like to be extra safe, since we are going to be spending a big chunk of our immediate savings in these first 2 months.

Vou ser direto - eu e a minha namorada há 4 meses compramos casa a 100% com garantia pública e IMT jovem.

Surgiu oportunidade em outubro irmos para a suiça, ganharmos muito mais dinheiro e ter progressão salarial a sério.

Queremos aceitar...mas estamos com imenso medo das repercussões de quebrar a garantia pública.

Li que há uma clausula do local de trabalho ser a mais de 100km...mas não especifica nada sobre emigração...presumo que no momento em que mudar a morada fiscal, vou me lixar.

Pagar o IMT de volta eu não me importo, não queria era ter represálias maiores.

Não tenho intenções de meter a casa a alugar.

Alguma opinião?

Tenho uma questão... hoje é dia 29 e ta a acabar o prazo da submissão do IRS.

Até agora não me preocupei com essa questão porque em 2025 era estudante e não tive rendimentos...até que me lembrei que fiz estágio de 2 meses na suiça em 2025 e recebi "um salário" de 700-800 francos por mês. No total recebi prai 1500chf.

Entretanto fui aprovado para um CH jovem a 100%...está só pendente da declaração de isenção de entrega de IRS que já posso tirar dia 1 de julho...só que lembrei me da porra do estágio... O que faço? ligo urgentemente para a contabilista para preencher o IRS para este dinheiro ou deixo estar?

Estava la como estudante da UNIGE e não tinha permis por estar só 2 meses.

Hey everyone...

After using my gf's kindle for 4 months, she finallyy took it back, and I needed to get my own.

I got an 11th gen paperwhite still in the box for half the priice and was happy with it. Except when I was registering it on amazon, it was declared stolen.

I got a refund, and got to keep the device. I upload books through the cable and so far so good. At the moment, I'm learning french and am reading excusively in french, so I could really use a dictionary for those new/ hard words.

I can't seeem to find a way to get/ upload a dictionary to the kindle.

Any recommendations?
