Testing my patience, yet again

Was giving a friend a ride. Was spinning thru first, grabbed 2nd, and the axle said nope. Driveshaft Shop axles.

700hp, 2350lb car, k24 with a quaife sequential.

Anyone else move power trains between projects? 700hp k24

Just bought this. Will drive it a year while the 1ZZ eats itself alive.

Then, taking my sleeved/o-ringed/forged internal 700hp k24 with a sequential dogbox from my Noble, and putting it into the MR2. Downsizing the turbo to something that'll spool instantly, shooting for only 350-400hp to make it more fun... like a G25-585. If I can find something faster spool, I'm all ears.

And the real project begins, with a 600-700hp 07K swap into the Noble.

When a project never ends

Pulled the drivetrain (takes an hour, lots of dry breaks/quick disconnects) for some refreshing and check the dogbox for wear. While it was out, figured I'd test fit a future build.

Old: k24a2 (sleeved, forged bits, 700ish hp) with a quaife dogbox.

Future: 07k (plan: forged bits, 700hp) with a 02Q.

The kseries sounds meh. I want noise that matches the car's looks.

Marketplace finds can sometimes be good... And sometimes be this.

Found a transmission for cheap. Seller says no issues. When I get there, it's caked in oil, dirt, etc.

Get it home, pressure wash it, see the JB weld and mixing stick embedded in... "Oh, that's a thing"

Opened the case, found it JUST touching the gearset.

Good thing I only need it for mocking up a drivetrain swap.

At the last track event, my haltech was cutting power due to low oil pressure at a few corners. Decided it was time to pull the bearings to verify there were all there.

I don't have a lot of experience reading bearings, but what am I looking at? Also, can I just throw some new standard sized bearings in and send it... Or should I go oversized?
