This came up locally and I jumped on it. Drive 2 hours and finally home and can’t put it down. Learning the circuit got me feeling like I’m playing guitar or the first time though. I do like the look of SS more but after research I’m leaving her stock!

Picked up a guitar a few hours away and decided to drop into a pawn shop nearby. Saw the 6505 marked half off to $400. There was no cab to test it but the tubes turned on and I said what the hell.
The Marshall half stack actually has been at a local pawn shop for awhile and whenever I would go in they were total jerks about me testing it, saying it was cheap enough to take it as is. Finally they started lowering the price and when it was $300 last week I offered $200, they refused. I said okay I’ll come back next week when it lower and they said that’s the final price. After getting the Peavey I thought the Marshall would be a perfect combo so I dropped in and lo and behold, the price had dropped down to $200. Loaded it up and these things scream.
Anyone got any good deals lately?
Always wanted a ‘72 like this one and couldn’t pass up a good deal today, but my heart is for lefty, which I’ve had for 15 years.

The black JM has kinda been my dream guitar but after owning it a month or so, I keep finding myself wanting it to play and sound like the Mascis. Instead of replacing the pickups and upgrades, I think I’m happy with just keeping the JMJM and moving on from the Classic Player(which is still a great guitar). I did try a mustang bridge on the Classic player which of course did help with playability, but the JMJM is just a whole nother beast on its own.

Been finding some great deals on amps lately that I couldn’t pass up and so here we are.
Found a 90’s Prosonic at a pawn shop half off and an 80’s Deluxe Reverb II on fb market. And today picked up a Deluxe Reverb for on the cheap at another pawn shop. I know I have to let go of some of these, but damn it’s been fun playing them.
Side note: I wish I combine the Deluxe Reverb II’s clean with the Prosonic’s overdrive channel, which I guess I could get an ABY switcher…
