I can't believe how long ago Harry and Dora broke up

I can't believe how long ago Harry and Dora broke up

Throughout the game, it feels like this recent painful thing. But then it turns out Harry has been living in a past, that has become so distant from him. Twisted and idealized. Not just one year but 6-7. Such masterful writing

Who do you think are the most evil characters in the game?

I think we all agree on Ruud as nr 1. But i tried to comprise a top 10. There's a big difference between the types of evil personified: The distanced systemic evil and the street level banal. So rankings will probably differ alot. Feel free to disagree in the comments.

  1. Evrart Claire

  2. Cunoesse
    8 Joyce Messier

  3. Mega Rich Light Bending Guy

  4. Phillis De Paule

  5. Dros (The Deserter)

  6. Korty

  7. Lely

  8. Sunday Friend

  9. Ruud

Objective top 5 best games

  1. Going Commando
  2. Ratchet and Clank 1
  3. A Crack in Time
  4. Up your Arsenal
  5. Size Matters

The gap to 6 is quite large. Top 5 are all close to perfection though

Fun fact: We've now been in the Succesion Contest arc longer than the rest of the manga combined

14 years from the beginning of the manga to the original ending with Gon and Ging. Succesion Contest Arc is 14 years + 2 months and counting. We've been longer without Gon and Killua than with them

The closest real world analogue are revolutionaries

Being a german citizen in Nazi Germany and having to pick between joining the resistance movement or “just follow orders”, helping the state execute it’s political enemies.

If everyone just followed orders maybe not aaas many would die. A sizeable amount still. The holocaust targeted the mentally disabled just like the button problem would (people picking randomly). But fewer people would die if fewer rebelled.

However rebelling only leads to your own safety if you’re part of a majority - or at least a sizeable minority, powerful enough to overthrow the government. Organizing is key. Not everyone is brave enough to believe in the cause but revolutions do happen.

I really don’t like how they categorize the official arcs - especially the War Arc. It seems length is more important than content. Even though there’s more chapters (because of the larger cast), it’s still one storyline.

Fourth Shinobi War: Confrontation, Fourth Shinobi War: Climax and so on. You wouldn’t split the final battle from the buildup in any other arc. Those are sub-arcs.

It’s the same in the beginning. Land of Waves is clearly a very seperate storyline from the Bell Test. An arc is a storyline with an act 1, 2 and 3.

In my opinion the arcs go as follows:

  1. Academy: Chapter 1 - 2
  2. The Bell Test: Chapter 3 - 8
  3. The Land of Waves: Chapter 9 - 33
  4. Chunin Exams: Chapter 34 - 138
  5. Search for Tsunade: Chapter 139 - 171
  6. Sasuke Retrieval: Chapter 172 - 238
  7. Kakashi Chronicles: Chapter 239 - 244
  8. Kazekage Rescue: Chapter 245 - 281
  9. Tenchi Bridge: Chapter 282 - 310
  10. Immortal Duo: Chapter 311 - 342
  11. Itachi Pursuit: Chapter 343 - 412
  12. Pain’s Assault: Chapter 413 - 450
  13. Five Kage Summit: Chapter 451 - 488
  14. The Fourth Shinobi War: Chapter 489 - 699
  15. Epilogue: Chapter 700

On a sidenote, the worst one is Five Kage Summit: Officially set to begin at chapter 454 - That's in the middle of it's act 1 with team Samui interrogating Naruto. It's after the chapter literally called "The Eve of the Five Kage Summit." And also the arc is said to end right at the beginning of the Team 7 reunion before Naruto arrives. What were those official guys thinking?
