Is Vitamatic Vitamin B12 vegan?
What the title says. It looks dirt cheap but I don’t see a vegan label. Does anyone know if it’s vegan and if not what is the cheapest B12 per serving that is vegan?

My family isn’t vegan and buys our dogs these treats. I just noticed it says on the bag “every bag helps animals in need” with animal flesh right above it. How can people not notice such blatant contradictions..?
I was talking to someone about this topic and when I said most crops go to animal ag they claimed that only the byproduct, the parts humans can’t eat, get fed to the cows. Obviously this is irrelevant since the use is still the most important part, but I need to know if the stats I gave were misleading and if I shouldn’t give them in the future. If you have a source or a video explaining otherwise lmk.
I just saw on another vegan sub someone talking about effective altruism. I was about to actually donate to them because I thought their effective animal advocacy fund would be a really good use of my charity money. Someone told me that part of the EA funds go to FarmKind which is obviously problematic. Now I’m just not sure where to redirect my money. As mean as it may sound I kinda want to avoid donating to animal shelters or rescues that rescue carnivores. It’s not that I think they are undeserving of help I’m just trying to think of my overall impact, I don’t want to help one animal by killing others. I considered donated straight to a vegan animal sanctuary but then I feel my money isn’t going towards overall progress… I just want to drag what little I can contribute as far as possible. Does anyone have any recommendations or general thoughts on donating?
I just found out hi-chew is not vegan. Earlier I clicked on a website that claimed the mango flavor was vegan but when I check the ingredients realized every flavor had gelatin. I wouldn’t have been sad about it except the website I saw earlier got me excited that hi-chew was vegan. There probably isn’t a good alternative but thought I would ask. I was legitimately addicted to hi chew before going vegan and will forever chase the hi-chew texture. Luckily I caught it before buying any though 😅
If there isn’t an alternative recommend me your favorite vegan candies!
Medication is one of those things that can’t always be vegan but as someone who gets headaches a lot like the rest of my family I use probably too much Advil / ibuprofen. I just had the thought that the big brands may not be vegan. Are there any vegan over the counter medication alternatives (especially for pain relievers) that you know of? Or even other medication alternatives like when you are sick. Trying to make my medicine cabinet as vegan as possible for myself and guests. Thanks :)
I’m not just talking about books ABOUT veganism but specifically wondering if anyone has read any books (especially fiction or at least something with a plot) that are either by a vegan or seem to be from a vegan perspective, holding animals as inherently valuable individuals. Do you know any books like this? I feel books are often ruined for me since going vegan because characters objectify animals which makes them unlikeable to me. Thanks :)

I work at a place with dogs and love them all dearly as my own. A couple days ago a puppy who I love dearly (like 7 months old) comes in but not as I usually recognize him. He is cowering and his ears and tail are gone. Both cosmetic mutilations were clearly botched and not professionally done. His ears look like someone took scissors to them and I can see his spine at the end of his bloodied tail, not a single stitch. The reality is hitting me. There is no where for this anger to go, they mutilated this poor sweet puppy for looks and nothing else. Not even dogs are safe from the creative cruelty of humans.
I’m a vegan heading into college who would love to meet new vegans. I know my city has vegans but despite having hundreds of clubs there is nothing really related to veganism, even semi related issues like the environmental clubs go to zoos and aquariums as part of their activities.
At the same time I kind of understand because I’m not really sure what we would even do in a vegan club. IF I was to try and start one (assuming I can find enough vegans to make it worth starting to begin with) what kind of activities / events could we do? Preferably including things that are accessible to people with less money.

I have been vegan for nearly 7 months now, I try not to be too pushy- not because I’m not passionate but just because I don’t want to scare people off. When someone makes a comment (like how milk “doesn’t hurt cows”) or asks about my veganism I try to explain what happens to animals.
I feel evil for knowing I didn’t change when I heard what happens to animals. Several years before going vegan my brother told me some of the horrors pigs endure (the one I remember is hitting piglets on concrete). As someone who is pretty empathetic the fact that I didn’t change is shocking and really showed me how much seeing suffering affects our ability to feel empathy. It wasn’t until several years later when I watch Dominion that the horrors finally clicked. I started off just doing it for welfarism but within two weeks I became a true vegan as I realized humans don’t have anything to offer the animals, all we do is take from them.
While I sometimes tell people what happens it only ever makes them empathetic to my cause, it doesn’t ever lead them to want to change. I want to recommend people Dominion but I always fear it’s too horrifying. Watching that film really messed me up and will affect me for the rest of my life. I feel cruel recommending it to someone else but at the same time I feel like it’s my only hope of breaking through to some people. I am also afraid of them watching it and still not changing, I think that would deeply affect my image of them more than I already have. I try to be understanding but there is always some hidden frustration even though I did the same things. What documentaries or sources of information still hit the big picture? I’ve never watch Earthlings. I’ve only seen Dominion, Cowspiracy, and recently started Seaspiracy but I’m only halfway. My other concern is age, I wouldn’t want to recommend slaughterhouse footage to someone too young- idk when is ever old enough to see something like that though, 18?
Would you recommend Dominion or is it safer to go with something a little less heart shattering to protect my relationships with carnist friends? What documentaries convinced you?
I’ve been using a sublingual B12 and the DEVA vegan multivitamin. I’m under the assumption omega 3s are pretty important to supplement so while I’m not having any major issues yet I wanted to add them to the rotation. A couple things though: I’m worried about family stereotyping me for using too many supplements (it’s only 3 but still), two it costs a little too much I think. I was trying to get it under 10$ a month to keep things cheap and I’m certain it is doable. What kind of combinations do you use on a tight budget? I was thinking after I run out of my daily multivitamins I should just switch to the DEVA omega 3s so I’m still only taking B12 and omega 3s. This would also be more affordable. I’m not big on nutrition but I don’t eat necessarily poorly. Has anyone felt poorly after dropping a multivitamin or do you have a recommendation for supplements (preferably including at least B12 in any form and algae omega 3s for under 10$ a month. I’m ok buying it bulk to make this cheaper per month)
Any tips on how to get this to work? I bought an egg replacer and used 3 eggs worth of a vegan replacement to use on a naturally vegan boxed cake mix. The cake tastes amazing and it was just for myself so it didn’t need to look pretty but the binder didn’t seem to work at all, it was pretty much cake crumbles that I threw icing on lol.
While I didn’t need it to work that time I was wondering if anyone has tips on how to get it to work, if I should just add more of it or if I should switch to something else. Just in case I make an actual cake lol. I never bake so I’m not familiar with what things do
The art does not necessarily need to be explicitly vegan, I’m just looking to support vegan people who happen to be artists. Specifically I’m looking to decorate my bedroom so things like posters, canvases, or online downloads I could turn into one of these things. If anyone is, or knows any, vegan artists and where I can find them online it is appreciated. Thanks!
Does anyone have a blood parrot cichlid alone? My current fish is alone due to aggression when he was younger. He is now three years old and I notice he gets pale if I am gone all day long. He never gets pale on days I’m off work and can stay home. I’m afraid to get another blood parrot cichlid in case he is still territorial but I also don’t want him to be alone. Does anyone have experience with this or ideas on what to do? He is currently in a 65 gallon aquarium.
