Can someone tell me if this is real or not? The only other J-Star palette I’ve owned is Jawbreaker and this is a similar packaging/look of the eye shadows but it’s not the original Blue Blood packaging of the trunk with the clasp. I ordered it on Depop brand new but I don’t recognize this packaging at all.

Will try to keep this brief. I ordered an item and within an hour cancelled it because I found a better deal on a different platform. I completely forgot about it then 2 weeks later the item showed up. I opened the bag and tampered (new) with it before I realized it was the CANCELLED item and not the one I ordered from the other platform.
Anyway, I messaged the seller to try to make matters straight and he claimed he never got a cancellation notice from me and that he was still awaiting my rating. When I told him I couldn’t rate him because I cancelled the order (no shipping updates or anything), he said he’d reach out to Mercari. Mind you, 6 days after I cancelled the order, someone else bought the item from him so I have no idea how he still had my address?
He got back to me saying it was a mix up with Mercari but they weren’t going to do anything about it and that i needed to send it back to him. I emailed Mercari myself before he got back to me (trying to get them to provide a label) to make sure either they’re going to reimburse him or provide me with a label. He wanted to exchange info to pay for shipping but last time I attempted that (exchanging info to buy on a dif platform) Mercari almost immediately deleted my info and emailed me a warning that I could be banned.
Also, this seller posted the same item for sell again (he has multiple duplicates of the same tech item; some purchased and some for sale with exact photos) and is rushing me to send it back so he can send the one that I got to the person; but he has the exact item re listed for sale?
Anyways, I’m waiting on their response. I feel like if it’s mercari’s fault for providing him the wrong QR code then they should definitely reimburse him. He’s claiming they won’t and I’m waiting for a response from them. Has this happened to anyone?
TL;DR - Cancelled order showed up anyways and seller is wanting me to send it back before Mercari gets back to me on the matter
UPDATE***! it was in fact Mercari’s fault. They reimbursed him and let me keep the item.
Not to sound masochistic but I want a therapist that hurts me a bit. I get the most relief when they go deep but lately haven’t found someone willing to really get in my muscles. Thanks!
