Is the start interesting? First time writing.

I want to know if I am on the right track to write a novel. It's just the opening scenes; I will post the complete prologue in the future, too.

I need help...

I've always had some memory issues, but recently they've been getting worse. At first I ignored it because I thought I was just being forgetful. My family told me I'd done chores around the house that I genuinely don't remember doing.

Apparently I'd had full conversations with people that I have absolutely no memory of.

I even somehow made up with friends after crashing out on them, but I don't remember apologising or even talking to them. I brushed all of it off. I thought I was just stressed.

But today completely freaked me out.

Today was my exam.

I reached my college early, and since there's a lake behind the campus, I decided to walk there and take a few pictures while waiting.

I remember taking a few photos. I remember taking one last picture. And then... Nothing.

The next thing I remember is waking up on the ground near the same place where I took that last photo. I checked the time and panicked because I thought I'd missed my exam.

I ran to my friends and asked them how badly I messed up. They just stared at me. They told me I'd written the entire exam with them. Not only that...

Apparently I even helped a couple of them cheat during the exam. I don't remember entering the exam hall. I don't remember writing a single answer. I don't remember leaving.

Nothing.

I've been trying to convince myself there's some logical explanation, but something keeps bringing me back to something I wish I'd never bought.

A few days ago I bought this weird novelty item called One Wish Hollow.

I made one wish: "I wish for a better me."

I know how ridiculous that sounds. I'm not saying I believe it. I don't want to believe it. It was supposed to be a joke...

But after everything that's happened over the past few days, I can't stop thinking about it.

Does this sound like something I should see a therapist about?

If you're wondering why I'm talking about One Wish Hollow, you'll need the full context. I posted everything in order on r/AWDyssey. Please read those posts first before judging this one, because otherwise this is going to sound completely insane.

OMG, IT WORKED!!! I"M SMARTER NOW!!!

I burned it as it said, and now see? I can solve a problem I couldn't before. : ]

Am gonna use it now...

I showed it to my mother. She said I wasted my money, doesn't want me to keep it, and told me to throw it away.

But before I throw it away, I figured I might as well use it. The instructions say I have to burn it afterwards anyway.

Screw it. Imma use it.

I already know what I'm gonna wish for...

I wish for a better me.

Ever since Obsession released, these things are starting to pop out...

Found this at a bandi who was selling this along with those old school toys you find in India...

It's obviously inspired by the One Wish Willow from Obsession, but I couldn't resist buying it for ₹300.

This one's called One Wish Hollow.
Looks surprisingly well made for a fake...

Anyone else seen these?

I published my first complete short story/Novella, and I would love for you all to read it and give reviews and you can be honest about it.

It is a Psychological thriller which may seem like a typical stalker story, but I assure you that it is much deeper than you think.

Description -

ANTI-STALKER

You've seen this story before.

A stalker. A victim. A basement. A boy who should have run but didn't. A girl who thought she was in control. A case that looked open and shut.

This is your typical stalker story.

A boy gets taken. A boy suffers. A boy gets found. Justice is served.

Everyone goes home.

Nothing you haven't read before.

Or maybe... you found a wolf in sheep's clothing.
