Can I be an Honorary Mando?

Hello! As someone who likes dress up in ancient Greek hoplite armor, do I get to count as an honorary Mandalorian?

I say this partially as a joke, but on Halloween several small children excitedly called me "a Mandalorian!!" So I think I'm stuck with you guys.

Anyways, hello! I may or may not lurk here.

The King of Kings of Tesifon -- Shahanshah Hormozd

Spoilers because I use screenshots from the Sith Warrior storyline.

Whaddya think? Is this outfit stately enough? Does he look kingly and intimidating? And which is better -- the first or the second outfit?

Tesifon is a homebrew planet of mine.

I can read and write in aurebesh!

Hello, everyone! First time posting here, so I'm hoping I can make a bit of a fun first impression. I'm a SWTOR roleplayer, and these are (some of) my characters.

From left to right, Khosrow Akhamanid, Nushzad Jondeshapuri, Hormozd Akhamanid, and Maryam Armani.

The journal entry you see there -- written on the left in aurebesh and on the right in normal Latin letters -- is Nushzad's reflections on the state of her homeworld: Tesifon, a homebrew world in the depths of wild space. It's a vast project of war and political intrigue and religious devotion, all inspired by the epic the Shahnameh.

Anyways, I'll be lurking around here a lot. Hope you all enjoy!

Edit: Changed the order of the characters because they uploaded in a different order than I'd intended.

Data Tutashkhia in English?

Hello! I've heard about a book called Data Tutashkhia through a silly picture of Batman wearing a chokha. From the Wikipedia description it sounds really interesting, but the only copy I could find in English was on Amazon and priced at $2,000!

Does anyone know where I might find a copy of this book in English for a reasonable price? And also, recommendations for Georgian literature in general?

Is this an appropriate venue to discuss the Shahnameh?

Hello, everyone! I'm Anthony, an average city dwelling American. No Persian ancestry in my family, I've just become an Iranophile over the course of the last year. It started with reading the Shahnameh (or rather, listening to an audiobook version of Dick Davis's translation) in April of 2025, and I've become absolutely obsessed with Iranian and Persian history since then.

Anyways, the reason I ask this question is because the Shahnameh r/ is inactive, as far as I can tell -- one must submit to the moderators an explanation for why you should be allowed to post... and the last post that was made over there was made four years ago.

If this isn't the right r/ to discuss the Shahnameh, could someone point me to what is?

Anyways, I wish you all the best! And uhm, from the bottom of my heart... I'm terribly sorry my country is bombing yours.
