Sad leaving her

My fiance and I are going on vacation for two weeks and we are so sad to be leaving our girl for that duration of time🫩we know she will be in good hands because we are having a friend watch her, but we can’t feel a little heartbroken because we drop her off this morning😭

Weld or replace?

I need a much needed opinion on here, hence why I’m posting. I scraped my headers pretty good today, and as a result there’s a small pinhole in the headers now. The headers themselves only cost ~$130, so not bad at all. I know somebody who can tig weld, so I’m curious if I should just have him tig weld it for me, or with the current condition of them, and how cheap the headers were, if I should just buy another pair of headers altogether? Anything’s appreciated.

Hardware for exhaust headers

I realize this is a basic ass question lmao but I want to ask in here to prevent future headache for myself. What is the best kind of alloy to use for aftermarket exhaust headers?

My teg was perviously owned by someone and he put aftermarket exhaust headers on there. One of the nuts is missing, and I read using stainless steel for exhaust header hardware can be a nightmare in the long run for a variety of reasons and it seems like every post or forum I come across has a different answer so anything is appreciated.

Sunroof drain hole

I feel so dumb for even asking this LMAO but where in the hell is the drain hole for the passenger side? It stormed pretty bad last night and long story short I found out water was not draining from the passenger side sunroof drain hole, causing my seat to be soaking wet. I initially thought it was this rectangular thing, but when i tried to shove weed whacker line down into it, it didn’t go anywhere. Help please🤣🫩I’m 98% sure the drain area is just clogged. I’m skeptical to use compressed air bc i heard that can just cause more issues

Coolant bleed?

I know this is probably a dumb question, but I recently replaced my iacv, and when i disconnected the coolant hoses, i had some coolant spill out. Probably around a cups worth. 2 cups absolute max. I’ve read some people advise to bleed the coolant after disconnecting any coolant lines, while some other people seemed to say it wasn’t something they’d stress about. I guess I’m posting here to ask other people’s opinions if I should bleed the system or not. My gut is telling me to just do bleed it since it isn’t that hard and doesn’t take much time. So any help is appreciated!

Wheels?

She’s currently wrapped right now, and I had plans in the near future to take the wrap off and paint her silver. Majority of the prep work is done on the body, just gotta touch a few things up. I love the silver S2000 so was going to try and do something similar with the teggy. Should I keep the white wheels after I paint it silver, or do y’all think a different color would look good/better?

Acuity short shifter (again)

(If you saw my post about this yesterday, no you didn’t🥸). I’ve had this shifter since September of 2025, and I hate to see it go, but it won’t fit in the GSR I’m about to be getting so it’ll just be collecting dust. DM if interested

Acuity short shifter anybody?

Anybody here want it????? Thing is pretty fuckin baller, and I would be so down to sell it to somebody in here who I know’d take good care of her. First come first serve🤷🏽‍♂️

Sad day

Was in the middle of replacing the head gasket, and after gathering opinions from several family and friends, I’m scrapping/parting out the 7th gen🥹had her for over 2 years, I believe I’m the 3rd owner, at the most 4th. Ever since I got her, it seems like she’s given me problems pretty consistently every 2-3 months. I fell in love with the platform, it taught me manual, taught me the little bit I know about cars now, but it’s time. I’ve put so much into her when it comes to parts, chased endless oil leaks, etc. a big part of it is the owners before me not taking good care of her at all, but it is what it is. Y’all have been super great in this subreddit, I appreciate yall🙏🏽gonna be buying my friends integra GSR thankfully so i have another vehicle lined up

My time has come?

Well boys, I think my time has finally come. I’ve been having to add coolant to it every 4ish months for the past 12 months lmao. Today in the Canes drive thru that bitch shot up. So much head was radiating from the engine it was warming up my legs from the knees down😭I guess 260K miles will do it. Gonna try and diagnose it tomorrow, but I’m pretty sure it’s the HG

Pulling the engine possibly?

I’m gonna be copping a GSR off my buddy here soon, and have been heavily debating pulling the engine on my 7th Gen to address the oil leaks after I buy the teggy off him. I’ve already replaced some common things that cause leaks (cam plug and valve cover gasket twice) but there’s still a leak. I have knowledge of your basic maintenance stuff, but by no means would I say I have a lot of knowledge about cars. The most intensive thing I’ve done on the 7th gen was take off the intake manifold to clean out the carbon buildup. Not saying any of this to brag obviously lmao just trying to paint a picture of all the stuff I’ve done. Idk if it makes a difference but I have the manual 5 speed. Anybody ever pull the engine on their 7th gen? If so, how easy (or difficult) was it? I’ve watched videos on it, and it seems pretty straight forward.

Welded Cat?

Anybody here ever welded a cat to their car? I bought a new cat from rock auto since my car is throwing 2 P0420 codes even after replacing both o2 sensors. Long story short I’ve attempted to take my car into 2 different shops so they can weld it on for me and they both turned me around due to the cat needing to come with some sort of warranty paperwork so they can follow EPA laws.

At this point I’m wondering if it’s even worth it to get done since driving performance isn’t affected at all. Both shops told me that the codes are more than likely not even for a bad cat. Anybody here ever drive around with a bad cat or should I just keep trying to take it to shops lmao

Anybody have any recommendations for a medium heavy spinning rod? Or perhaps maybe a heavy rod? I currently have a 4K Stradic that I need to pair with a rod.

Right now my go to is a 3K Stradic with the 6’6 Medium Moderate Fast Shimano GLF for inshore. But I just wanted a beefier setup for those bigger fish I’m looking to target in the Summer. Reds, stripper, cobia, etc. I don’t really care about price, as the longer I’ve fished, the more I’m willing to spend on high end gear. Any help would be appreciated.
