Worth Grading? Getting into buying slabs for PC but have never sent something in before.

New to grading. Worth sending into to PSA/BGS to get it in a slab to match the rest of the eeveelutions? All my slabs are 10’s so not sure if this would get through with the more strict grading? Ty!

Best TCG for a New Collector

Long time MTG player with a sizable collection. Looking to liquidate some cards to start a collection of nice looking cards, either Pokemon or OP (or if someone has another recommendation).

The TCG market is absolutely insane right now.

Which would be the best one to start today with 10k cash? I’m into slabs or raw, and don’t necessarily care for this as an investment but would prefer to keep some value to sell/trade into other cards in the future. I’ve essentially cycled the same 20k initial cost the last couple years. Tia!

Edit: I forgot to mention I will be buying singles only!

New Collector Needing Advice

Hi everyone

New to OPTCG but long time MTG player and collector. Recently went it a card show with nephews to pick them up some Pokemon singles and noticed some people selling OP. I’ve been a longtime fan of the manga (20+ years) and to be honest, some of these cards are beautiful.

I’ve been looking to get into another TCG purely from a singles collecting perspective. I thought it was going to be Pokemon so I could spend more time with my nephews, but some of these mangas have me looking sideways. I typically buy a combination of grail pieces and things I like in the moment, and find it fun to try and trade up (trading MTG standard/edh staples for RL).

Is right now a good time to get into OPTCG? I know the game is becoming more popular but there are barely any listings for manga/chase cards compared to Pokemon and MTG. I don’t care as I will be spending disposable income, but I do enjoy trading up to other cards so if things can hold value that would be nice. TIA!

Need a new commuter/family car after 12+ years!

Hello!

Would love to get some advice from the wonderful world of Reddit

I have been driving my Honda Accord V6 for the past 12 years, 180K miles, and today I had my first ever run-in with an engine/transmission issue. This car has been with me through college, job loss and promotions and it might finally be time to put her to rest. I'm not able to get into the shop until end of May for a quote, but was thinking of really looking into new cars as reliability to get to work is my #1 priority. Luckily I can WFH and am out of country for next few weeks!

I drive around 300-400 miles a week for work, would be the only one to drive the car (partner does not drive), and would prefer it to be on the 'smaller' side since we live in a city. We have a medium sized dog and would love to expect our first child within the next year or so.

I have ~ $50,000 cash in my car fund, but realistically only want to put $20,000 down and finance the rest 36 months. I want to leave some extra room to stretch our house down payment if we find something nice in the market. Monthly payment amount doesn't matter.

I'm looking for something economical and SUPER reliable.

I've been window shopping RAV4 hybrid, Corolla Cross hybrid, Corolla Hatchback, Honda CR-V hybrid, and the CX-50 hybrid. Does anyone have experience with these models and maybe some insider knowledge on what ownership is like? Any other cars I may not be considering? I haven't looked at cars in 12 years so completely dumbfounded by all the new tech! I did see that Mazda is doing 1.99% APR financing which is nice considering I plan to finance for a little bit before paying off the loan. I'm also open to used since my Honda (god bless her) was a CPO and it has served me incredibly well. Thank you everyone!

Keep or get a new car

Hello hopefully I can crowd source some ideas

Currently driving a 2013 Honda Accord V6 with 180k miles. No mechanical issues but my AC is shot and fixes can be expensive. Summer is coming around and I drive 20k miles about every year so it will be hot. KBB values my car around $3.5k.

Worth paying to get the AC fixed (likely $1k+) or just bite the bullet and get a new car. I’ve kept this car as second owner for over 10+ years and plan to get a Mazda / Toyota hybrid. I have the cash but I see Mazda is doing low APR deal on some models. Tia!
