Best dwarves to ally with a human army.

Hey you lovely people. I'm not a huge fan of the Oathmark dwarf models, but I'd like to do a decent dwarf contingent to go with my army.

Aside from oath mark dwarves, what other dwarves (STL or physical) scale well with them?

Would appreciate any recommendations

Would it be so bad if we got rid of Brooke?

So hear me out. The show is in desperate, desperate need of a shakeup.

I can't think of a better way to do that other than killing off a major character.

At this point, I'm looking at Brooke and thinking "what's the point?" She's been married to pretty much every man on the show, had a bunch of kids, interfered in every plot line, worked her way up and down the companies, had villain arcs and probably been abducted by aliens. Short of her turning out to be two midgets in a dress, there isn't a lot more the writers can do with her and this constant need to repeat story lines means Brooke is trapped in this cycle of interfering with literally everything and anything that isn't her business whilst she marries man 16.

She does, at this stage, feel like someone the writers over-insist on, they must see something in her I don't. But at this point, hasn't the time come to proverbially pull the trigger?

Brooke is bloody exhausting

So I'm currently here. The chocolate fondant incident (seriously, just give these two half a brick each and let them go at it, it'd be far more believable).

What's exhausting about this story line is Brooke.

Every. Bloody. Scene.

There she is shoving her nose into everyone else's business (seriously, wind your bloody neck in).

There she is giving crap advice to people (oh please tell me about love Mrs "I can't pick a man and got married 15 times")

There she is just casually walking into people offices and shouting the odds (seriously just get in the bin).

I'm not quite at "bring back Jackie" yet because she's horrendous, but I'd rather watch the chronically Pam do standup for 30 minutes than hear Brook mouth off with another crap opinion about someone else's business.

Please tell me we get a bit of a break from her?

How would.a beginner do this?

Hey everyone.

I am really unconfident in terrain building as my stuff always looks bad, so my skills etc is quite limited. So please have some grace for me as this is my first time asking something in this community.

I'm building an armies on parade board for my Japanese themed Cathay (army is anniversary present from my wife, we went on honeymoon to Japan, hence the theme).

I want to do the usual 22*30 board for it. But as part of it I want to do a path like the attached picture.

Am I better off doing these kinds of things with thick cardstock, painting gray and sponging on some texture, or would I be better making them out of something else? They're essentially supposed to look like stones that have been worn flat from generations of people walking on them. They will be leading out of a set of fortress walls based on the Japanese imperial palace.

The board itself, I'm unclear on. There'll be some cherry blossom in there but that's about all I know.

Basing for my Cathay, ideas please!!

So apologies for the utter state of the paint job. My Cathay are done red as they're all from my wife and she picked the armour colour.

Basing is where I'm struggling. I'd love some ideas! I'd like some cherry blossom in there as I think it'd look good, maybe flowers on the bases. Beyond that I'm stumped.

Also they're on rounds as I prefer the look and will be using them in different games like Dragon Rampant.

With special effects like this, James Cameron must be terrified.

I'm not sure just how much acid Liam dropped to make hope appear in his margarita. But after watching this particular episode, I feel like I've woken up from a nightmare.

Wanting to add a new kit. What's fun?

Got a budget of about £40, I want to add a new kit to my army. But I want it to be a choice from the chaos codex rather than the emperor's children codex. I'm lucky enough to have a player group that are happy to let me use stuff that just makes sense in the codex. I've recently added a master of executions and so I'm renegade guardsmen because they're fun.

What else do we like from the chaos codex that should be in the emperor's children codex? Mutilators seem fun, budget won't stretch to a defiler.

Would appreciate any ideas!!

So TL/DR: mate gave me a Japanese army. Going to add some 3d printed bits to let me do Konflikt and Bolt Action. Need help with some silly bits.

Hello you lovely people.

Got some bolt action models and I'm actually really surprised how nice they are. I think I'm still traumatised from playing secrets of the 3rd Reich and not being overly impressed with the model quality.

My plan is to get my Japanese bolt action built (starter army, half the marines/Japanese boxed set, special naval box and a couple of other bits) and then 3d print some dieselpunk stuff and some mechs etc to go into the army, as budget is a key consideration for me. Rules wise I'm up to date with all books etc.

Some questions I have:

1: I absolutely hate the Japanese zombie models. Do we think wargames atlantic pulp zombies would be a suitable alternative?

2: what's the community like generally? I'm quite uncompetitive and prefer story to competitive gaming. Will these games support that style of play?

3: how are you storing your models? I mainly play space marines so I'm used to very chunky models, these seem quite fragile by comparison.
