Uber deliveries

Has Woolies stopped using Uber drivers for the 1hr delivery time slots?
I stopped selecting the three hour time slots as the drivers seemed to be overloaded & always late (not the drivers fault).
Now my delivery tonight & my last delivery were both 1hr time slots & rather than Uber they’re using the Woolies trucks & my orders are late.
I just would like on time delivery, I don’t really care who does the driving!

Just curious

My husband & I live in a house built in 1974 & it has a weird thing going on with the lights. We’ve lived here for 10 years & it doesn’t bother us, but it does make me curious.

We’ve lived here have a back porch light & the light switch inside has a second switch next to it for our carport light.

The carport has another switch on the outside of the house as well (near our switchboard).

We also have a laundry that unsurprising has a light fitted.

If the carport light it switched on (from the outside switch - the inside one doesn’t work) the porch light goes off & our laundry light won’t go on when the laundry switch is activated.

They all worked fine when we moved in. Probably 8 years ago the porch / carport light thing started & just this year the laundry light joined in.

Is this a serious issue?

Which method works so you don’t have periods & increased blood clotting risk?

I’m 49F & I’ve been on the oral pill combined hormone for 32 years. I’ve been happily skipping the sugar pills for the last 25 years to avoid having my period.

I have had to stop the pill as I recently had an organ transplant & the transplant team don’t want to risk my new organ with potential blood clots (which is a risk of the pill I was on, and all brands of the same type).

I haven’t had a period since I got off it (new year) & also haven’t had a period yet (not uncommon after a massive operation such as the one I had).

My husband & I are using condoms as we don’t want a child (never have & especially now that we’re 49&51).

What contraception stops periods?

I’ve been reading about different types but the ones that seem to offer a cessation of period also come with the opposite risk of heavy bleeding.

I’m interested in other people’s experiences.

Thanks

Hot water issue

Of course we hit a long weekend & our hot water is only warm (not hot). It’s an electric heat pump system. Is this the domain of an electrician?

How do I find an electrician to help on a long weekend? Our normal guy (who is good) is not responding to our message (which I don’t blame him for given it’s a long weekend!).

From our change to decimal currency… is this worth anything?

I have this book that belonged to my grandparents. It was for use when we changed to decimal currency (I think). It’s to help people understand discounting in dollars & cents. I was just curious 🤷‍♀️

I wish I hadn’t seen this…

I just want to get this off my chest…
I was behind (1.5m away) a large man in the grocery store checkout line & he was extremely smelly (in a nose burning kind of way). He had trouble standing upright & kept leaning against whatever he could. When he shifted the back of his jumper rode up as I saw his crack & it was caked in dry brown spots.
While I feel bad he clearly was unable to wash himself I also felt really sick & wish my eyes were not working that day. I also imagine he would have felt itchy/ uncomfortable.

Ew.
