John Cena’s timeline in the RA era
2002: debuts and slaps Kurt Angle. RUTHLESS AGGRESSION. Teams with Edge and Rey Mysterio during the summer. Almost gets fired during the fall. Steph hears him rap. Career saved. Filler feud with Rikishi. Filler partners with Bull Buchanan.
2003: feuds with Lesnar, Benoit, Taker, Guerreros, Angle, face turn. Breakout star of the year. First game appearance. Graces the HCTP game cover where he gets chokeslammed by Taker. Raps at the end of the credits too.
2004: most over guy in the company besides Guerrero, Benoit and maybe Taker, wins US title after feud with Big Show, and goes to win another two times. Presented as the future of the company alongside Orton with both on the first SvR cold open. YJ Stinger and Day of Reckoning commercials.
2005: wins WWE title. Him and Batista on top. Spinner belt. Platinum rap album. Classic I Quit match. Gets drafted to RAW where he becomes the guy over there. Day of Reckoning 2 and SvR 06 covers and commercials. First Jimmy Kimmel appearance.
2006: Undisputed top guy of the company. Feud of the year with Edge. First WM main event. ECW feud. Top heel on SvR 07 Season Mode. Graces the cover of that too.
2007: MVP of the year. 380-day title reign. Great matches all year. Graces the cover of SvR 08. Highest OVR on that. Gets injured.
2008: Rumble return. Not a really good year for him except for that and the summer. Gets injured again after Batista match.
The end.
SvR trivia
I just dug up some old stuff (archives, but not really) and I just found out that there were speculations on the first SmackDown vs. Raw which got released in November 2004.
There were many websites who thought the first SmackDown vs Raw was going to be released as SmackDown: Word Life.
IGN of course debunked it and said it was internally referred as SmackDown VI for the time being.
Although it would’ve been fun to see how the speculated name would’ve been like on the cover of the game.
“Several wrestling websites have been reporting for a few weeks now that the next iteration of THQ's Smackdown franchise would be officially titled WWE Smackdown: Word Lifeand make its worldwide appearance at the 2004 Electronic Entertainment Expo in May. Others have even gone on to speculate that the first game footage of Smackdown may appear before the big show itself.”
"Smackdown 6 will not be called Word Life," chuckled the representative we spoke with. "In fact, it won't have any title affiliated with John Cena at all. So that means it won't be called Thuganomics or anything like that either. Right now, it's just being referred to as Smackdown VI internally and will stay that way until we make an announcement otherwise."
Is John Cena a RAW guy or a Smackdown guy ?
During the theme era of this subreddit, did you consider him a RAW guy or a SmackDown guy ?
How can I actually drop out of college during my junior year ?
I’m dealing with a lot of academic stress and one of my teachers threatened me to put me under probation for accusing me of cheating on a classmate during an exam. Combined with the fact I was already failing and facing a lot of academic stress beforehand, All I’ve had in my mind very often ever since is dropping out of college and getting a job because I feel like it’s taken a toll on me mentally and academically, but I also feel like I wouldn’t worry about academic pressure upon getting a job and I also would feel better mentally.
What do you think I should do ?

Yesterday, as we all know it, it was the birthday of the never-seen 17, who we all know is none other than the suit-wearing, event-hosting, recently retired John Cena.
Now, it’s not just an occurrence on this app. It happened on other social media platforms, but not as much as Reddit; if you want to know what I’m talking about, please bear with me.
I went to the thread of a post that wished his birthday that was on this subreddit. And you wouldn’t believe the amount of hatred the post got. Some of the comments were actually kinda disrespectful. And I’m thinking “for what ? Just because someone wants to wish his birthday ?”
So I moved onto another wrestling subreddit and it was about the same as this one.
Then, I went to subreddits that weren’t wrestling related where posts were wishing his birthday too. I checked the comments and… my god… the amount of people having fun with the invisible jokes and the people wishing him his birthday was like night and day compared to those within the bubble of wrestling. And I’m thinking “Wow! This is incredible! It’s like a whole new world out there!”
I draw to the conclusion that John Cena is more beloved amongst non-wrestling fans than amongst those within the wrestling community. That’s my take on it, that’s where I stand.
Where do you stand on this matter? What’s your take on it ? Feel free to discuss, I accept any of your thoughts on this matter.
P.S./DISCLAIMER: My post doesn’t hold anything against the fans of professional wrestling or the people on this subreddit (or any wrestling subreddit for that matter), I’m a wrestling fan and a WWE subredditor myself.
