Indian wedding outfit help for European guests!

Hi! I'm Italian and I've been invited to my childhood friend's wedding next year. She's Indian, grew up in Italy and moved to the UK a few years ago. We will be a group of 4 girls flying there from Italy for the wedding, and we are starting to plan our outfits. Our friend asked for us to dress in traditional Indian attire, which I'm very excited about, but also concerned about the fact that it will be in the UK... in January! She said there will be heaters but for sure I want to dress as warm as possible.

Do you have any tips/suggestions for outfit choice and also where to get them? As I said I'm based in Italy so I need to find a store that ships to Italy/Europe. I don't want to spend too much as it will probably be the only time I will wear these dresses, but I also want a decent quality.

She told us the wedding will last 2 days with these ceremonies:

- Haldi: on Saturday morning, she suggested yellow outfit

- Mehndi/Sangeet: Saturday afternoon/night, she suggested being very colorful

- Wedding: on Sunday, she said we need to be as bright/sparkly/shining as possible!

Looking forward to your advice on what to wear, tips on how to layer to be warmer, and online shops!

Would visiting the UK in January be a bad idea?

Hi! I'm Italian and I've been invited to my childhood friend's wedding who will take place next January in Birmingham. Her family comes from India but now lives there, and she will have a traditional Indian wedding with celebrations lasting a whole weekend. I'm thinking about adding 2-3 extra days after the party to take advantage of the trip and explore the surrounding area. I've been researching what's worth to visit nearby, and I came to the conclusion (but I'm super open to suggestions and recommendations!) that a good idea would be to go to Bath, Cotswolds (maybe Castle Combe?) and Oxford, before flying back to Italy. Does it still make sense to visit them in January, especially the Cotswolds? I'm a bit afraid of the shitty weather and the early dark. I've only been to London and Yorkshire in the UK so I'm not really familiar with other areas, please let me know your recommendations on where I could go not too far and what to do, and any tips that come to your mind regarding anyting! As I said I've already been to London so I'd like to go somewhere different. Thank you in advance!
