My ADHD brain hyperfixated and I somehow wrote a 500-page Hayley Williams x Emma D’Arcy sapphic RPF novel in about a week, so I figured I should share it here. I’m just trying to contribute meaningfully to the lesbian community’s database, I suppose.

It’s a slow-burn romance with lots of yearning and emotional build, exploring identity and sexuality, coming out in adulthood, attachment, fame, and navigating a culture shaped by homophobia and transphobia. The first half is very heavy on the oh god, just kiss already of it all. It does eventually get spicy in the second half, including some consensual power exchanges.

I’m releasing 2-3 chapters at a time on AO3, the first 5 parts are already up!

Anyone else ever tire of random people sliding into your Tumblr DMs trying to bait-and-switch as a fan/reader and then try to pressure you into hiring a commission from them? I have stopped having any faith in any Tumblr DMs period.

Any other Apple users have the latest CarPlay and software update from Volkswagen completely nuke their Bluetooth and CarPlay connection? Ever since the update, mine has repeatedly disconnected, and we took it into the dealership who confirmed it was a known issue. They allegedly patched it. Here we are two days after the service and the same problem is continuing to persist. I don’t really have the time to continuously be taking it into the shop so I’m curious if anyone else has found a DIY resolution for this issue. It seems like the crux of the issue is that the internal Bluetooth in the car itself periodically shuts off with no way to manually turn it back on, even through hard display reset.

I have been struggling with unexplained severe hives overnight into every morning for the last month. I have tried to isolate every variable and contemplate what is triggering it, but even after exploring withdrawal from an over-the-counter and antihistamine as a possible cause, that doesn’t hold water either. I have been dragging my feet with going to see my primary doctor because I know they are not going to have answers and are just going to send me to an allergist. I have been to an allergist many times in my life for seasonal allergies, and every time I have done allergy testing with the skin print test I typically react to literally every prick and it is unbelievably miserable. Something has changed with these hives and I can’t explain it by the seasonal allergies I have, because this has never been a problem for me in the past despite having seasonal allergies my entire life. I take normal antihistamines every day as well as a nasal spray and this popped up all of a sudden even despite that ongoing regimen. I am concerned if I go to an allergist I’m going to have to do the entire arsenal of allergy testing again and they will probably end up throwing their hands up because I am allergic to so many different types of pollen. I am just worried about time and money being wasted, but I do think it is important to get some diagnostic clarity at this point. I have even started to wonder if I have an autoimmune condition that is just manifesting itself right now in this way. No amount of Cortizone seems to stop it. Who diagnosed you and how did you find out? I thought actually about going to dermatology before the allergist possibly, but don’t wanna waste my time on the wrong type of provider.

Last year I noticed this invasive weed growing in one of my garden beds and unfortunately I identified it a little bit too late and did not eradicate it in time for it to not return this year. As soon as I realized what it was last year, I pulled out every single plant I could find and even tried to get down in any rhizomes that were underground. I noticed it came back this year and is now present in more areas than last year despite me pulling out every single piece of it I could find. Has anyone successfully eradicated this? The more I read the more concerned I am because I think the underground system has probably gotten pretty expansive, and it is underneath a lot of my raised vegetable beds. Any help would be appreciated!
