Maître Artisans(Permanent Gusher) by Terroir(Exka)
Packaging An opaque black plastic jar. The label lists the THC (29.5%), CBD (0.1%), and total terpene levels (2.8%). It also includes a list of dominant terpenes, the variety in rotation(Permanent Gusher), the packaging date (2026-04-20), and the mention "packaged in Quebec." A minimalist presentation, but the essentials are there. The jar contained a Boost, which I removed due to personal preference.
Appearance / Buds Two medium-sized, dense, and compact buds, not too dry/moist. The flowers have a nice appearance with an "indica" structure and forest green hues with hints of mauve beneath a lacy pattern of trichomes. Under a microscope, the trichomes are long and mostly intact. Smokes easily with a whitish ash and a resin ring.
Aromas/Terpenes Limonene, caryophyllene, myrcene. Good intensity on opening; it's gassy, chemical, earthy, and lemony. Grinding develops the gassy, earthy, lemony, and chemical notes. On a dry hit, the lemon dominates along with the earthy and chemical notes. On the palate, it translates well; it tastes like it smells. There's gassy, earthy, burnt rubber, chemical, lemon, and a subtle sweet note. A profile somewhere between Jealousy and Permanent Marker. The smoke is smooth and light.
Effects The effects come on slowly and gradually increase; I feel them "behind my eyes." My eyelids feel heavy, my body relaxes and becomes clumsy. Cerebrally, there's euphoria, relaxation, a strong mood boost, and a desire to socialize. The high is medium-mild, manageable, and only very slightly noticeable on the face. It remains functional and short-lived. It "takes the edge off," giving me my dose without being too overwhelming. It's versatile for something mild.
Produced by Ono Cannabis and packaged by Exka, it might be interesting to try to discover a Permanent Marker-style profile, but for those like me who also buy from the Ontario market, it quickly becomes repetitive. It's a decent product, but not enough to justify its $44 price tag; I would find it much more reasonable at around $29. Unfortunately, I don't find it satisfying in terms of the intensity and duration of the effects.
