Pregnancy and laser cutting
TW: baby loss
I hope it's okay to post this in this community.
Here's my story. In December I got pregnant with my second baby (first pregnancy was healthy).
I was 4 months along when we decided to buy a laser cutting machine to start a small business.
We installed it on the third floor in our house, in a closed room. We didn't buy the extractor right away and started doing some tests with MDF. It was primarily my husband who worked on the machine. I went up about 5-7 times total and was present while cutting around 15-20 min at a time. The windows were always open.
We didn't cut every day. Maybe around 2-3 times a week. There was some smell in the rest of the house, but not significant. I didn't have any symptoms of eyes of throat irritation.
Exactly one month after my water suddenly broke at 5 months pregnant. Our baby didn't survive.
The doctors didn't find any reason why it happened and I kind of blame laser cutting. I kind of never imagined it could be harmful.
I guess I just want to hear from people who also had similar exposure or know of someone who's had a successful pregnancy in a similar situation.
Please, dont judge me, it's already hard enough
