AIO about a woman I work with?
\*tldr\*
Woman I work with is the most exhausting, annoying, unprofessional human that I have ever encountered.
I'm gonna vent, but would also love to know if I'm in the wrong here...
I work with a woman who is driving me insane. I'm a captive audience to her bullshit and it sucks. I have 5 days left in the department with her and I'm trying SO HARD to not snap or say anything hurtful...
Today was bad. I am mentally drained from listening to her all day. There is a trainee in the area and thankfully she took the brunt of being talked at and not me, today, but I had to hear it.
Topics of discussion today included:
Very graphic description of getting a Brazilian while on her period...even making sound to imitate the sound her lips make when the wax is being pulled off...also graphic description of the inside of her vagina along with the outside. This topic was revisited multiple times throughout the day.
Detailed breakdown of her psych meds and what they do to her digestive system. Also brought up multiple times.
How she wants to sleep with 2 specific country singers and be a sandwich. Lots more details given.
How much she loves drinking alcohol and stories about how sloppy she's gotten.
The attempt she made in H.S.
How she hasn't pooped in 3 day.

This is only the highlights. These topics and MORE are brought up at least once a day and some multiple times. (Like someone she hasn't spoken to yet comes in the room and she'll need to recount the story to them)This woman is 20 years younger than me. She's 27 and I'm 47. She is also in a management position which she reminds everyone of constantly by making comments like "I shouldn't say these things because I'm technically your boss", or "Can you believe your boss talks like this?" (She's only my boss when I am on site, there, which is 3/4 days a week).
It's so gross and off-putting. It's also boastful? Like she's bragging. I don't get it. She also acts like she's really dumb. (I.eWe live in a state where there is a city called Washington very close to us and someone had to go there for something work related and she said"Oh! Where the president lives?")
She is supposedly taking online classes for a psychology degree and keeps talking about how she has to apply at the FBI before she is 35. Shes serious. She's also supposedly divorcing her husband that she has been with and has 2 kids with...and I get to hear all about that, too. She also drinks with a group of people that we work with and she gets sloppy and I get to hear all about how she got hammered and cried on someone we work with's front lawn...or puked in a car.
Like...what ever happened to professionalism? Or is it the 20 year age gap? Are these things that women talk about in a public (male co-workers present, as well)?
Like these are not private conversations...she's basically saying these things out loud to a group of sometimes 5 people. I've quit interacting with her and giving her attention and it seems to work, but there are other people who engage so she targets them. Is this just trashy and gross? IDK.
For context I have only worked at this company for 4 months. I'm not friendly outside of work with anyone that I work with and don't really talk on a friend basis with anyone there. I don't think it matters, however. The trainee started yesterday and got a complete rundown of all of the above...she even took her lunch the same time as the trainee.
I'm inclined to believe it's an attention thing and it actually gets worse with a male present...the trainee, today, is a lesbian with a wife and this girl all of the sudden was a lesbian in highschool? Like with all her talking up until now, she's never once mentioned that (and even during one of her drunk moments where she tried to kiss one of our female coworkers did she not bring it up, she actually said she wasn't in to girls while she was telling the story).
Is it sexual attention that she's after? Why are people like this? She's one of the main reasons that I'm transferring out of that department.
I haven't done or said anything that makes me an asshole yet...she was talking about all of the psych meds she's on and then started talking about how she needed to get serious and try to get into the FBI before she is 35 and I did blurt out that they won't take her with the meds she's on anyway so not to worry about it. But I am seriously out of patience with this person and I am completely mentally drained after working with her. She also has this awful way of speaking that is like exaggerated vocal fry on purpose...but she can speak normally and will to one of her bosses. I don't ever get this irritated with other people.
Anyway...thanks for listening. This was a big vent, but it's just been building and building...
