Cat is hissing and swatting under the closet door?

So my kitty has been suspicious of this closet ever since we moved in a year and a half ago. Usually shes just pawing at the door and meowing, sometimes I open it for her and she goes to sit in there. Sometimes she begs me to sit in there too, then starts purring when we're both inside, super cute. Other times she just really wants the door open, for whatever reason. Not to go inside, just to know its open.

Today she's uh, hissing? Full force hissing under the door. She's not a hisser at all, ive only heard it twice when shes in real immediate pain (poor girl got her claw caught around our cat toy just as I went to yank it! I still feel bad months later), ive never heard an anger hiss. Instead, shes got this specific meow for anger, and another seperate meow to alert us to the presence of a mouse or bug.

So shes hissing under this door, staring something down, and swatting HARD under the door, like a little hunter. I open the door and look around, theres nothing in there? Not even a hole for a mouse to get in. And when I open it, she sits outside the door, all alertness gone, like nothing happened. Leave it open for a minute, she goes in, chills for a minute, comes back out, does whatever she normally does. I close it again? Immediately back in hunting mode.

I know yall dont know my kitty or my house, but i just cant figure this out so I figured id ask if yall have more ideas what I should do or check? Im at a loss and hate to see her so distressed.

How much should I charge for an oto job?

I found myself with the opportunity to oto a voicebank for a streamer I watch! I've never done vocal synth work for anybody but myself, and dont even know where to start on pricing.

We're going to hash the details out on Friday, so I dont know exactly what she wants yet. I have experience with CV and VCV, but if she decides on a more complicated system after hearing the examples, I will absolutely learn it and deliver a very clean product. I also plan to suggest multi-pitch, given it sounds like she has quite the range.

I plan to deliver a highly polished product with background noise cleanup, volume normalization, and whatever else the recordings demand of me. Im also very exact and detailed about param placement.

I may have no history of my work on the internet, but I've been working with vocal synth tech for about 18 or so years now, and am quite good at it, it has all simply stayed offline on my harddrive. I say this not to brag, but because I know experience tends to play a role in art commissions across any kind of art work.

What do you guys charge for your otoing work?

Also, seperate question for the future, if she decides to commission me for song cover production, how should I charge for that?

Thank yall in advance! You dont know how excited I am to finally be doing this stuff for someone who's not myself

As a hot 23f living in St Louis, I like to know who in my neighborhood is on the registry. My Citizen app showed me somebody new had moved in, so I went for a little scroll around on the registry website.

I zoomed out a little farther than usual and saw a massive cluster of them in one neighborhood. A neighborhood next to an elementary school. I clicked on the names and most of them have offenses against children, spanning from teens all the way as young as 4. There are tier 1s and tier 3s in there (ive actually never seen any tier 2s - so as a side curiosity, why might that be?), most were compliant but a couple non-compliant too.

How is this allowed? Is the "cant live near a school" a myth or something? Is it maybe that the rule is waived since the city is so packed? Just seriously in general, what is going on there?
