For some reason my AGOT hasn’t fully updated. I suppose this is probably more an issue through steam. But I don’t have the new start date nor map expansion.

I’ve restarted my computer to try and get it to download but to no avail. Is there anyway on steam to force a mod update?

Or is it just not available on steam? What’s the situation? Cause I heard there was like a shadow drop of a new start date and I’ve seen parts of the map expansion. Is that out yet or what?

Am I alone in this issue or is there an issue at all?

EDIT: Unsubscribing, making sure that steam was completely closed with task manager, and then resubscribing just completely fixed everything. Thanks for the suggestions.

And I’ll leave this up for anyone else experiencing the same issue and then they can learn from this

Is nobody going to talk about the poor farmer who Hugh beats the shit out of, and stripped naked off screen????

It’s like grand theft auto medieval again, and Hugh just beat the shit out of that random farmer and jacks his wagon, and his clothes?????? Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatttttttt thhhhhhheeeeee fuuuuuuuuuuuuuccccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk??????????

Was he the fucking terminator? “Give me your wagon and your clothes.” he beats the shit out of that guy and probably knocks him unconscious or something and then he fucking stripped him naked and that’s just like borderline sexual assault. You can’t just strip someone without their consent, no matter intent.

How do the clothes fit perfectly anyways they were totally different body types, but they’re wearing the exact same clothes. He clearly stole the clothes.

That is not the same I was expecting because this character is supposed to be like a gentle giant and honorable and then he’s just beating the shit out of this random guy just so he can visit his wife . Like I thought he might try to converse and like talk his way into hitching a ride or something.

What is that poor farmer to do? He’s probably a few miles off from his place, going to trade, he gets all of his stuff stolen and his clothes.

He’s got no coin and no dignity.

I don’t know if this is even possible, but I just think it would be really cool if somehow leprosy as a disease was removed within the mod, and in its place they added greyscale

Just a bit of a suggestion I don’t even know if it’s possible, I don’t know anything about code

I just occasionally see leprosy , and I just don’t think it’s even in the world of ASOIAF, and greyscale would be a cool replacement.

I know it’s semi-implemented, cause I’ve got the advanced cheat menu, and if you look there, you can find it under the health traits, but I’ve never seen any character actually catch it within a game

So idk, thoughts?

Why have all the lesbians been banished to the shadow realm?

They’ve aged up Sabitha Frey. And she’s out of the field, so we’ll get no GILF instructor of a bisexual badass Aly, which could’ve been the alternative now that she’s aged up, but no.

Jeyne Arryn’s beloved Jessamyn’s gone as well.

Is Rhaenyra so disconnected from the kingdom, that she doesn’t know the smallfolk are illiterate?

She makes a huge deal about this graffiti, when most people can’t even read it. They’re are medieval peasants, most don’t have a need to read.

We saw in this same episode, both the fact that Ulf read to him by somebody else, and that Larys markets his ability to read as a plus when playing the part of a peasant.

And apparently, at this point in time, not even all of the nobles can read within the show universe. Borros Baratheon was depicted in the first season having to have his maester read from him, though I suppose you could alternatively speculate that he was personally dyslexic.

But still, she has a complete overreaction lol

Like she has the entire neighborhood terrorized, when there might be only like three people who know how to read, but reading and writing were taught completely separately back then.

So you can easily deduce who’s the vandal was, unless Corlys painted it on the way out lol

Favorite major book character turned strange background character in the show?

Aeron Greyjoy is just sort of turned into this weird old man. And he’s clearly older than any of his brothers but then it’s just never brought up.

Then there’s of course, the real protagonist of the series Lord Gyles Rosby, whose constant coughing antics amused us all. And let us not forget the melon did fall in his lap at the purple wedding. But in the show, he just sort of sits there and then of course there’s the more exciting moment after he gets a new actor, where he stands there and is briefly greeted.

I curse my allies for the thousand mini inconveniences they bring about in any playthrough

They’re too fucking wayward. I have to stick to them, they barely ever follow me.

What’s the point of a strategy game if for much of the time you have to rely on their rubbish calculations, they won’t follow you to a battle you know you’d likely win together.

It’s a bit boring because of how stupid the AI is, you’re able to win most wars from their mistakes, but if you have to rely on the AI whatsoever, it’s just really fucking annoying.

EDIT:

Oh, and here’s a really stupid bit from the game. Without any consequence they can reject to join your war outright.

In fact, you can’t even send the call to war, if they’re unwilling to join.

But if they try to call you to their war, and you reject, you are given penalty.

I wish I could still try to call them to my war even with them rejecting it , at least give the bastard a penalty like you give me

I can’t believe my boy Rhaegar would be so selfish 😭

If you’re so obsessed with prophecy, let your father seal the pact of ice and fire, I’m recently widowed 👉👈🥺

Jon Arryn is always asexual now.

Lore wise I disagree with the assertion.

He had gone through multiple marriages, and had multiple children, most of them stillborn but still.

Yes his marriage to Lysa was loveless. But he was older than her father. And loveless marriages aren’t exactly a rarity.

It doesn’t really have a big effect , it’s just I’m about to do a playthrough where Robert gives him the Ion Throne, and now there’s absolutely no chance of a loving marriage to Lysa, mechanics wise.

I know there are theories that Littlefinger is Sweetrobin’s real father. But even that doesn’t necessarily point to Jon being ace, case in point: Robert Baratheon’s kids not being his.

Anyways, I just thought it was an odd assertion.

And, of course nothing but love for the aces out there, it is known 🖤🤍💜

Stannis is the one true king.

TL;DR: I’m just saying Jon’s sexuality doesn’t have much canonical support outside of probably straight, and it’s a stretch to say that he definitely was to the point where he always is.

I think it should just be up to base chance as it was before

Looking for anyone else’s thoughts

I've got the rediscover mechanic enabled, and I've got it in the correct load order [made double sure of that].

But I'm just not getting the option to rediscover any artifacts, and that's the main reason I downloaded the submod.

I do have the alternative visuals disabled if that's somehow the reason, but I don't think it is.

Is this a glitch or what should I do? Has anyone else experienced this?

Is there something else you have to do besides hiring an antiquarian?
