Reforged style - Humanity’s verdict: death

Art name:”fathers rage”

Basically, Hagane is furious, fucking mad, that Kaito died.

Right now, two major things are happening in this picture.

  1. Hagane’s new sword
“The Blade of the False Sun God”
(Though I’m also considering the name
“The Blade of the False Fire God.”)

The blade is a flaming sword that works by copying the Blood Demon Art of Nezuko by using her blood.

However, the sword overheats extremely quickly. After killing Doma, Hagane uses Doma’s blood to create a cooling system for the weapon and armor. That’s why his hand glows blue the cooling system is running at 100%.

  1. Humanity’s Verdict: Death

This technique has a horrifying side effect. Its victims feel as if humanity itself is judging them.

In Muzan case, he hears hundreds of voices condemning him for the way he acted, the way he lived, and even for what he is. It feels to him as though humanity is staring at him with hatred, disgust, and pity, and has collectively decided that he deserves to die.

He hears countless voices screaming things like:

“Fuck you!”
“Monster!”
“Son of the bitch!”
“Die!”

But the line that affects him most is:

“You should have died in the womb.”

The move can only be used once. After a few seconds, the entire system fails. The sword melts, the armor stops functioning, and Hagane loses one of his eyes.

At the end, Hagane locks onto Muzan and delivers a devastating strike, cutting him in half.

Muzan doesn’t die, but he can no longer regenerate the lower half of his body.

Immediately after that attack, Hagane collapses and passes out.

Blood-stained money Chapter 2: “Stained Papers”

A few weeks had passed, and Hagane was going over everything he had found names, locations, experiments, connections… anything he could use.

But his mind kept drifting back… and his anger continued to grow.

Hagane: “Fuck.”

He said as he slammed his fist against the table.

Shinobu: “My, my… should I bring some soap for that tongue of yours?”

Hagane: “Shinobu…”

Shinobu: “You’ve been busy. I thought you would’ve left on another mission by now.”

Hagane: “No, I stayed. I had other matters to handle. Tsubasa went on the mission instead of me.”

Shinobu: “Then what did you find?”

Hagane: “They’re covering everything up through other businesses… like a few high-class restaurants across Japan.”

Shinobu: “Well, it seems like no fine dining for me anymore… though I always preferred homemade meals.”

Hagane: “We also know they have more than ten factories across Japan. Some produce weapon’s, others produce drugs and…”

Shinobu: “And?”

Hagane: “Those people have been experimenting with demon blood… I doubt Muzan would willingly give it to them.”

Shinobu: “You think they’re doing this behind his back?”

Hagane: “Most likely…”

Hagane stared at his armor, his eyes fixed on one spot in particular.

Shinobu: “You think they’ll recreate the demonic booster?”

Hagane: “Even if they don’t, it’s still dangerous what they could achieve.”

Hagane showed shinobu new papers that was pinned on the bored

Hagane: “I got this from Tengen. They turned some people into monsters…and just killed them off. What if they create something they shouldn’t…?”

Shinobu: ”what is their plan?”

Hagane: ”I have few theories, they are trying to make a drug that will make a man stronger and have blood demons art without muzan control or if they recreate the demonic booster or something and else similar to make more dangerous weapons and sell it…..”

Hagane sat down in the chair, he looked exhausted from everything.

And Shinobu noticed how deeply it was affecting him.

And something else was building up inside him.

Rage.

Shinobu: “Hagane… are you okay?”

Hagane stayed silent for a moment.

Hagane: “I’m fine…”

Shinobu: “You’re a bad liar.”

Hagane: “Takes one to know one.”

Shinobu: “My, my… so I’m right then?”

Hagane: “No, I just—”

Shinobu: “Hagane, I understand your rage… your anger toward all of this… but please, don’t lose yourself.”

Shinobu looked at her older brother.

Shinobu: “Kanae raised you to be better.”

Hagane: “……”

Hagane said nothing.

Then—

A knock came from the door.

Tsubasa: “Is this a bad time?”

It was Tsubasa.

Hagane: “No, no, come in. What is it?”

Tsubasa: “I found something… and it’s not good.”

She said while holding several papers in her hand.

Oh no! You got hit by “humanity’s verdict: death “

(Art by u/my_dear_melanch0ly)

So what does that do?

“Humanity’s Verdict: Death” is not directly tied to Steel Breathing, but instead comes from a reforged style from “Humanity’s Vision.” The technique pushes the user’s perception and eyesight to their absolute limit, allowing them to lock onto and strike targets with extreme precision

But what I’m referring to here is the first factor

Anyone Hagane looks at begins to feel as if humanity itself is judging them. Not just their appearance, but their actions, choices, and entire existence. They may even start hearing faint voices in their mind

This is a side effect of the “fury” component of the technique, which constantly analyzes the target to determine the most effective way to attack. Because of this, the victim’s mind interprets it as being evaluated like a tool or a piece of art being judged for its value, usefulness, and flaws

So how does your OC experience it? What do they hear? And what are they being judged for in that moment?

(Note: this technique was used only on muzan and even he felt slight of shame and guilt)

Thinking too much again… here’s the meaning behind the titles

Everyone knows about “Blood-Stained Money,” and a few may know what comes after it: “Blood-Stained Soul.”

But why “blood-stained”? And what’s the connection between “money” and “soul”?

“Blood-stained” refers to something achieved through wrongdoing through harm, exploitation, or other peoples suffering.

“Money” can be understood as the reason behind it: greed, power, control. The result of that becomes “Blood-Stained Money,” because it was earned through other people’s suffering.

But why the next one “soul”?

Because after the money is “cleaned,” the soul becomes stained. When you try to clean one thing, something else can get dirtier. The consequences of the first story carry over into the next.

You can also look at it another way.

“Money” is material, but “soul” is not.

With money, the focus is on mafia systems, criminals, factories, what people stand for, and fate results.

But with the soul, the focus shifts to emotions, understanding, self-acceptance, and the truth within oneself.

Blood-stained money Chapter 1: “Old Wounds”

Years had passed, and Hagane grew up in Kanae’s arms. She taught him everything how to live, how to think, and how to fight.

When Hagane turned 15, he moved to the Swordsmith Village to become a better blacksmith. Kanae would often send him letters, asking how he was doing and what was new in his life. Hagane was always excited to receive those letters.

But… not every letter brought happiness.

One day, he received a letter that said only one thing:

Kanae was dead.

The news shattered him.

Hagane abandoned his studies and joined the Demon Slayer Corps.

He passed Final Selection with ease thanks to his mastery of Flower Breathing. Over time, he developed his own fighting style and new equipment.

He created Steel Breathing slower than Flower Breathing, but far more powerful and precise. Combined with his armor, his physical strength nearly doubled.

But none of it eased his pain.

He still remembered Kanae and everything she had taught him. Over time, he reconnected with Shinobu and slowly began moving forward. By the age of 18, he had become a Hashira.

The Steel Hashira.

After becoming a Hashira, he met many new people. Some he already knew, like Shinobu and Gyomei

He quickly became friends with Mitsuri Kanroji, Kyojuro, and Tengen. However, he disliked Obanai and Sanemi because of their harsh attitudes, though he respected Tsubasa, which she surprised him since she was close friends with Sanemi.

Out of everyone, Hagane formed the strongest bond with another armored warrior — Kagero, the Shadow Hashira. To Hagane, Kagero was his closest friend.

Hagane also respected Giyu despite his stoic personality. Still, he noticed Giyu acted far more alive whenever Fujiko was around and that reason hagane respected fujiko because she was there for him.

He also noticed a small boy beside Giyu a kid with either a scar or a birth mark on the left side of his face. The boy looked at Hagane differently. Not as another slayer or warrior…

…but almost like a hero?

A few months passed after Hagane became a Hashira, and during that time he saved countless lives on his missions.

But on one mission…

his old wounds opened wider than ever before.

Humans were working together with demons, offering human body parts and blood in exchange for protection over certain areas.

Hagane immediately knew things were going to get ugly.

As he investigated further, he discovered the truth was far worse than he expected. The criminals behind it all were the same people who had ruined his childhood the same ones who had stolen his freedom and forced him to work himself to the bone.

Now they were doing the same thing to innocent people and children.

His rage returned.

Not only toward demons…

…but toward criminals as well.

Criminals had taken his childhood.
Demons had taken Kanae.

And now…

Hagane wanted to kill every last one of them and free the victims immediately. But he stopped himself. A direct assault would only make things worse.

Instead, he gathered information and reported everything to the Hashira and Kagaya Ubuyashiki.

It was an unusual case. The Demon Slayer Corps normally did not interfere in human criminal affairs.

But this case was different.

Because Muzan was involved.

…To be continued.

Blood-stained money Chapter 0: “Fate’s Pity”

Before there was

a blacksmith,

an inventor,

a Hashira,

a hero,

there was only a child one whom fate showed no mercy.

His parents were beggars who never had money… mostly because they spent what little they had on alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, and other vices. To them, Hagane was nothing more than the result of one terrible night’s mistake especially when the child was born with blood-red eyes.

They hated the boy, not just because he was another mouth to feed or they needed to take care of him, they hated the eyes thinking of him as a broken baby.

So they didn’t care for him and often would forget to feed him.

When Hagane was four years old, they sold him to criminals for 1,000 yen and disappeared forever.

After that, he was forced to work in a weapons factory alongside other children.

Every day was hell.
Every day was a fight to survive.

It became difficult to decide whether waking up was a gift… or a curse that only meant more suffering.

For seven years, he worked there.

The adults often used tricks and false kindness, pretending to care only to betray the children in the end. Hagane had a few companions, but it was hard to call them true friends. When food was scarce, friendship meant nothing.

Hunger always came first.

Only Tetsu stayed by his side.

He was his only true friend, more like a brother.

But even that came to an end.

One day, demons attacked.

They slaughtered everyone children and adults alike leaving no one alive.

Hagane was lucky enough to escape.

But he got lost and couldn’t find Tetsu or the other children. So he kept walking.

Life afterward was no easier.

Some would say it became even worse.

He knew nothing about money, so he stole whatever he needed to survive. But nothing was free. Whenever he took something without paying, he was beaten and punished.

Hagane learned quickly:

Nothing is free.
Nothing is given out of kindness.

He lived on the streets for a year, barely surviving. Villagers often mistook him for a demon because of his blood-red eyes.

During winter, beneath freezing rain and merciless winds, he nearly died.

It was a miracle he survived at all.

At that point, Hagane accepted his fate.

He accepted that one day he would die and that all he was doing was delaying the inevitable.

He accepted what he was.

“A soul failed by fate”

But fate… for once… showed pity.

Now twelve years old, Hagane wandered through the streets trying to sell a sword he had found in the forest an old, rusty blade.

Eventually, he approached a tall woman with pink eyes, long dark hair, and butterfly hairpins resting gently above her ears.

Kid Hagane: “…Hello… ma’am… um…”

Kanae: “Oh my, what do we have here? A sword? Little boys like you shouldn’t be playing with that.”

Kid Hagane: “I… I wasn’t playing… I wanted… to sell the sword… would you be… interested?”

Kanae looked confused.

A young boy selling a sword?

Kanae: “Sweetie, where are your parents?”

Hagane: “I… they… left me…”

Kanae’s heart ached.

It was obvious the boy standing before her had suffered greatly.

So she took him in.

Hagane followed Kanae with only one thought in mind:

If I work hard enough, maybe I’ll survive.

He expected another nightmare like the factory. But at least, he thought, there would be food.

At the Butterfly Mansion, Kanae cleaned him, gave him new clothes, and treated the countless injuries and illnesses his body carried after years of suffering.

She was fascinated by Hagane’s eyes.

And strangely enough… she loved them.

Shinobu was slightly annoyed that Kanae had brought home a stray boy especially one older than her but that irritation faded quickly.

Hagane was like a frightened kitten.

Terrified of everything.

Even when Kanae and Shinobu brought him food, he suspected it was a trap. He believed they would demand something in return… or spill the food onto the floor as a cruel joke.

One day, Hagane accidentally broke a vase.

Fear drained the color from his face.

He immediately ran to the nearest closet and locked himself inside, convinced punishment would come next screaming, hitting, pain… just like at the factory.

But it never came.

Kanae remained calm.

She never screamed at him.
She never struck him.

Instead, she gently spoke to him through the door.

And slowly, with her soft voice guiding him back, Hagane stepped out — still trembling, still skeptical, still afraid.

Kanae was always kind to him.

Even when Hagane refused to trust her, she never stopped showing him kindness… and she never asked for anything in return.

Then one day, her kindness finally shattered the cruel belief he had about the world.

And in its place, she lit a fire that would never burn out.

It was an ordinary night, but the rain was harsher than usual.

It reminded him of the day he had nearly died.

Beneath the blanket, Hagane trembled uncontrollably. Panic gripped him tightly. Tears streamed silently down his face as his body shook violently. His heart pounded so hard it felt as though it might burst from his chest.

Then

A soft hand touched him.

It was Kanae.

Kanae: “Scared?”

Hagane couldn’t answer.

In his panic, he didn’t know what to do. He had never learned the instinct to run toward someone for comfort, the way children run to their mothers when frightened.

So he simply sat there, shaking as tears rolled down his cheeks.

But then

Kanae pulled him gently into a warm embrace.

She wrapped the blanket around both of them, rubbed his back softly, and hummed a quiet melody to calm him.

Kanae: “Shhh… I’m here.”

For the first time in his life, Hagane felt something unfamiliar.

Warmth.
Protection.
Safety.

He clung to Kanae as though she were the only thing keeping him from drowning.

And in twelve years of existence…

He finally slept without fear.

Quietly.
Peacefully.
Comfortably.

In Kanae’s arms.

“Blood-stained money” official trailer

Super excited, but also nervous because some things still aren’t finished yet just small bits but I can’t delay this any longer.

Like before, when I first started, there will be three-day gaps between chapters. There will be 12 chapters in total (chapters 0–10, plus one solo chapter for another OC), and one bonus post… but I won’t say what it is yet.

One last thing… thank you for your patience, and thank you to everyone who’s been excited about this story.

Hagane Ryujin - “after the flames”

After the weapons factory burned in the demon attack, he was the only survivor. He wandered for days until he stumbled upon a small village. There, he would take food or supplies without asking or paying. Each time, the villagers shouted at him, and some even struck him for stealing.

Through these experiences, he learned that nothing in life is truly free—everyone wanted green paper or coins. His distrust of people grew bigger with each encounter… until someone changed everything.

One day, he found a sword in the forest—a sword that once belonged to a fallen demon slayer. He tried to sell it to a woman named Kanae Kocho. She refused the sword, but she noticed he looked exhausted, hungry, and worn down. Out of concern, she took him in.

At first, he was deeply distrustful, refusing her food, her care, and her kindness. He thought everything came with a price. But Kanae didn’t give up. She fed him, cleaned him, and looked after him patiently, showing him love without expecting anything in return.

After two months, he finally realized she was different. She was genuinely kind and cared for him because she wanted to. The very next day, he ran to her and hugged her—and he never let go. Not for hours, not for moments—he clung to her all day and all night. He hugged her while she cooked, while she slept, while she walked, while she tended to him. She became his world, his anchor, his life line.

Even when he had to sleep, he held her close, refusing to release her fully, and the moment morning came, he was clinging to her again. She was everything he needed—love, care, safety—and she gave it freely. In her arms, he finally understood what it meant to feel truly loved. 🌸❤️

(Note: Chapter 0 — “Fate’s Pity” will be based on this part of the story in much greater detail… and probably few tears will fall by reading it, I apologize in advance)
