What shades should I try if brown doesn’t suit me?

I have a medium light complexion with an olive undertone and I feel like brown shades just don’t suit me that well. They either look a little dull or just off on me like wiping mud on my lips. I’m looking for a lip stain that complements olive skin and most importantly stays on. I hate having to reapply my lip products every single time I eat or drink something. I’d like to find something that leaves a nice stain even after eating and doesn’t completely disappear from the center of my lips.

Has anyone tried this shade?

It's prob the sixth time I've seen champagne d'oro sold out, at this point I have no idea if it's actually that good or if everyone is just influencing each other to buy it. The more I see it missing the more I want to try it. My favorite part of doing my eye makeup is sweeping bronzer through the crease and adding a highlight to the center of my lid to make my eyes pop. Most of my highlighters lean silver or icy white but I'm tempted to switch things up and try gold or champagne shades since it's summer.

Warm and glowy bronzer?

Going on a girls trip to Mexico next week and I'm so excited, we've been planning this trip ever since we graduated college and it's finally happening. I'm doing a Target run this weekend to grab all my last minute essentials and one thing I really want to pick up is a bronzer. I'm looking for something that's warm and glowy but not muddy or orange. I'll def be taking a ton of pictures and I'm also starting to make more makeup content, so I want something that looks good both in person and on camera. My goal is to keep my makeup content mostly focused on drugstore products cause I think there are way too many amazing options. Since I'll be tanning, I'm looking for a bronzer that complements it instead of making me look dirty or overly sculpted.

Getting back into makeup after years

Since my divorce and my kid starting school this year I really want to start feeling better about myself again. I remember when I was younger, my appearance mattered so much to me. The way I looked, the way I dressed and having a little bit of makeup on every day. Nothing over the top like they're doing this days just enough to make me feel put together and confident. Now I feel like everything is either ulta or sephora and there are so many brands that I don't even know where to start. Back then I used to wear a lot of Milani but I have no idea if they're still as good as they used to be. I'd like to put together a little shopping list before I make a run to ulta and target this weekend.

Being stuck in the wrong marriage for years can really change you. I slowly stopped caring about how I looked, avoided mirrors and stopped putting in the effort I used to. Every time I did my makeup or wore something nice, my ex husband would say things like, I like you better in work out clothes and no makeup. Looking back now I think it came from his own insecurity because those were the moments when I felt like myself again.
