Preparing my forever save file : what item to keep before restarting ?

Good morning dear Pokemon lovers ! I am a 31 years old Pokemon Heartgol enjoyer who played HGSS since the release of the game, recently decided to erase a 380+ hours save file that I mostly dedicated to the Battle Frontier, in order to prepare a forever save file.

So my plan is to make preparative playthroughs before the definitive one. That way I can gather all the starters from generations 1 to 3 (4G will be possible too, with my Pearl version).

1) The first preparative run is basically over since I just beat Red and already had my additional starters. This first was dedicated to Feraligatr, Squirtle and Mudkip.

2) Another preparative run which I'll dedicate to Meganium, Bulbasaur and Treecko.

3) The definitive, forever save file. I'll take the remaining starters (Typhlosion, Charmander and Torchic) and, of course, I'll be perfecting all the post-game content. I'll also grind the Pokewalker if I happen to find it.

But that's not only a matter of starters. There are some good items to gather through the game and I would like to transfer those in the definitive save file too.

For now I set aside :

- Starters from each run (so for this one : Feraligatr, Squirtle and Mudkip) ;

- All Pokemon from my playthourgh party ;

- All Pokemon that I learn utility moves (for example a Butterfree with Compound Eyes and Thief) ;

- Master Ball (not that needed but we never know, and since I didn't use it in the first run...) ;

- PP Up / PP Max (iirc the first one can be grinded but PP Max aren't available anywhere except the ones you find on the map) - still have to find all the PP Max in the game. They'll be useful for good Battle Frontier Pokemon in the definitive save file ;

- Exp Share

- 6 Lucky Egg

- Some HM that I can't re-buy and that I could need for a Battle Frontier Pokemon or fore another utility. Focus Punch, Water Pulse, Roar, Hail, Bullet Seed, Sunny Day*, Rain Dance, Giga Drain*, Iron Tail, Shock Wave, Sandstorm, Secret Power, Thief*, Steel Wing, Skill Swap, Overheat, Roost, Explosion, Pay Back, Rock Polish, Rock Slide, Sleep Talk, Poison Jab, Dream Eater, Grass Knot**, Trick Room.

* HMs that I had to use on this first preparative run, I'll save them on the second one

** HM that I could find with a Pick up Pokemon, without having to buy it, but it could save me some grinding

Regarding Pokedex completion, as I said I have Pearl version that I'll use to transfer all generation 4 starters into HGSS, and a Platine version in which I have some legendaries and that I'll use to transfer unavailable generation 4 Pokemon. If I'm right I'll only miss a few Soulsilver exclusives but that's fine.

So... that was a long read. Thank you if you made it to the end. Do you have any tip, any item to add to / remove from my list ? Anything to do before erasing the first preparative run ?

Here are two decks that I am testing for S13 format !

The first is a Amber / Ruby Red Panda deck called "Un panda dans le jardin". The gameplan is to abuse powerful pandas' Shift to overwelm the opponent. I also included some songs in order to benefit from Mei-Lin Lee and Vanessa abilities. Very fun to pilot and can pull out some very decent work !

The second deck is foccused on the new self-discard mechanic, paired with the powerful Merida and Three Arrows combo. I tried to include some Floodborn stuff cause I wanna test The Vine.

My 3 favorite builds with Morton Koopa Jr. s far !

Hi everyone, I play Mario Kart since a long time (Mario Kart DS) and kinda recently started to toy with online games. Outside of having a ton of fun I wanna try to improve myself. At the moment I feel like I am an OK player in terms of skill, but there's definitively room for improvements.

Of course the best bodies for a kart seem to be Teddy Buggy / Cat Cruiser, but I wanted to experiment with something else. I also tried BiddyBuggy, Pipe Frame and Streetle. Morton Koopa Jr. is my main cause I love Koopalings and he's freaking cool. I also like the fact that he is a fast and heavy character (always been my play style since Mario Kart Wii), while not being too big and letting me see the screen when I play xD

I have pretty much good results for now, consistently placing 1st to 4th.

So if you wanna give those builds a try dn't hesitate to tell me whta you think ! Also, is there any tip to improve those builds maybe ? I went for Roller tires by default but maybe there are better tires.

I stick to my Jasmine deck this set ! For those who want to give it a try...

Jasmine - Steady Strategist might be one of my favorite Lorcana cards if not my favorite. As soon as she was revealed back in Reign of Jafar I wanted to play her and try an Ally deck. I then kinda stopped playing the deck as I wasn't very happy with how it performed. Thanks to u/Malferon I understood how the deck work properly and found great inspiration to play it again. And now this is my default deck since something like three sets.

Wild Unknowns wasn't as generous as Winterspell, in terms of new stuff, but gave us some pretty interesting new tools to toy with. The most impactful card might be Merryweather which is an amazing Ally card ! She alone can make an aggro match-up much more enjoyable. Bruno Madrigal is another cool card that I like to include in complement of Pete.

Don't hesitate to :

- Try the deck, it's cool !

- Suggest any cool idea you'd have. This is more of a "flex with my favorite deck" post than anything but still.

- Tell me anything about you, I'm a nice guy

My Madrigal (damage moving) deck for Wild Unkowns format

So this is my new Madrigal build which I'm pretty happy with. The whole thing works pretty good and is really funny to pilot. I'd be curious to read your feedback if you even tried such a deck like me. Don't hesitate to tell me your ideas, tips etc.

Play lines :

- Control early game + set damages up

T1 play Luisa

T2 play Alma and exert some pesky early game character with 2 Willpower or less, and preferably less than 3 Strength ! Challenge with Luisa

T3 could be Ohana for some early draw or Shift Luisa

- Set damage up + early draw

T1 play Julieta

T2 play Pedro (trigger his effect). Only exert Julieta if safe

T3 play Pepa (trigger her effect and damage your characters). Quest with Julieta and heal someone for immediate draw.

Other cards to consider :

- Daisy / Will-o-wisp (instead of Julieta) for more damage stocker.

- Ham / Willow / Reuben for ramp. Reuben can act as a healer too.

- Vanessa to stock some damage and sing CHIBA or any 4-cost song I could include. See "song package".

- Song package (aka I want to toy with The Family Madrigal). Did include it in the first iteration of the deck and it worked OK-ish especially when sung on T3 (Luisa / Alma). Needs some amount of Song cards to work well, though.

- Hades / Demona are staple right ?
