Help! How to grow these babies?

Help! How to grow these babies?

Hi! I bought a dragon fruit in the supermarket and tried to grow it from the seeds just for fun. Five survived. I have no clue how to grow them properly. Could you help please?

  1. Do I need to separate them to different pots?

  2. They have a very thin stem before the main one. Do I cover it with soil?

  3. What soil mix i need for them?

And just a link to a good source to study to keep them alive. I'm in Ireland, so they will be indoor plants, I assume. I have an aerogarden if they need more light.

Thank you!

Update: no extra taxes upon arrival for what Temu marked as 'same category'.

Posted a few weeks ago that Temu showed in the cart and in the listings "no extra tax with your cart" products.

I placed an order where several items were most definitely from different categories, paid one €3 tax at checkout and was waiting if the customs would charge me more.

They didn't. Everything arrived fine.

Off to fish out other 'same category' products before it becomes even more expensive.

Vibe coded an app for my husband to rate his bento ingredients, lol

My husband eats everything, and he is very bad at expressing his likes and dislikes regarding food. I might occasionally find out he actually doesn't like little spring rolls I was adding to his bento, or there was too much rice, or the beef was too dry some day. But he never clearly expresses that on the day I cooked the food which is annoying because how can I improve without feedback. So I vibe coded an app for him to rate the ingredients of his bento. It's not public, just showing :)

A head allegedly from the same source as tridactyls

A YouTube blogger ProtoCivilization (language Rus, location Latam) says he bought this head from the same person who found tridactyls. He says, the 'head' doesn't have a body to it.

He has streamed cleaning process, and will continue on Saturday. Here he shows the inside: https://www.youtube.com/live/5pfMM9TQKzo?t=4524&is=xpPBXz5o7piQfJDi (starting 1:15:25)

Here is some close up cleaning with the brush: https://www.youtube.com/live/7OBTnHTS7OQ?t=4249&is=YxMubo8CArlv7b1U

He does not insist that it's an alien or something, but is trying to find clear evidence of tampering, given that it allegedly comes from the same source as tridactyls. So far, he says he hasn't found any, but is ready to break it open to demonstrate if he has clear signs that it's some cat's spine wrapped into chicken skin.

I assume we have members here who can clearly explain if it's some unknown reptile species, a dry fish on a stick or papier mache.

He has CT scans, Xrays and so on, and is ready to send it to doctors, you can contact him in Telegram or email, contacts are in the video description. Not sure if I am allowed to publish them here. Edit: Says he hasn't yet published them because he has just got them, these streams were today and yesterday.

Temu started showing same category items

I was trying to find the items that are from the same category. I added 10 of the same item to cover the minimum order and then was adding one by one other items from the cart to see if the tax has changed.

And then Temu kindly showed me the items from the same category.

I wish I could see their road map somewhere to know what other features they are going to implement to help us buy their cheap stuff.

What to do with suckers turned into stems and blooming

Hi! My first tomatoes, and I had to leave them unattended for a while. I also didnt know about the suckers and started removing them too late. Now I realised that all my tomatoes have 4+ suckers that are big, fat and with flowers. They are right above the ground.

Should I cut them now (I kinda feel bad, some even have small tomatoes already), or should I just leave them alone at this point?

I tried to draw a scheme of my tomatoes because it's difficult to understand the photos, but not sure if it made it easier.

Thanks!

What should I do with the roots?

I bought it a few years ago, and somehow it manager to survive. It still was in it's original store bought container. I try to soak it in water with orchid food once a week for like 10 minutes.

The roots look like this: they feel soft, dry and like dried out. Two initial leaves got soft and wrinkly, but there is a new leaf and one new root.

It has 3 flowers now. Should i do anything with the roots now or should I wait? If I need to remove the bad roots, how do I know which ones are okay to keep and which should be removed? What else should I do?

My first orchid and I am clueless. Thank you!

What's a category now?

I was on vacation for 3 weeks and returned to this wonderful extra tax. I can't find the information about categories: are they pre-defined somehow?

I checked that 2 different pants are taxed as 1 category. But I'm interested about stationery, can papers, stickers, etc be merged into one "stationery" category, or Temu cannot do that?

Sorry if it was discussed, I didnt find the thread.

Overripe peas: can I plant them next year?

Hi! When I was a kid, we gave those to chickens.

I am not very interested in eating them since cooking doesnt really change the taste, so was wondering if I take the peas out and let them dry, would it work for the next year seeds? Or they had to be on the plant and not harvested at this stage for that?

Thanks!

A bag of used stamps in Tokyo?

Hi! I like japanese stamps and wanted to get a bag of used stamps from Japan, but I can't find where to get them. Does anyone happen to know?

I tried one coin and stamp store, but they don't sell bags, and saw one stall at Asakusa market, but it's very overpriced. I dont need rare and expensive stamps, just common cheap ones. Thanks!

What's wrong with this raspberry?

Hi! This raspberry has been sitting there for a couple of months, so not a transplant shock. It was doing fine but I noticed yesterday that it is drying out. What's wrong with it? 🙏

Rip my first cucumber, can we perform autopsy?

So it was growing fine with huge leaves and little cucumbers, then it got sick with these dry yellow spots. Internet said that I need to spray with some diluted oxygen peroxide. It seemed to be recovering and developed new small healthy leaves and then one day I woke up and it was like this, all leaves wilted. I washed the roots, changed water, also soaked in some peroxide infusion according to Internet advice, but it is not getting better and I assume it wont. Any idea of the cause of death and advice on how to keep the next one alive? https://imgur.com/a/SJaGc3T. Thank you!

Kyushu vs Hokkaido in June, 2nd time Japan

Hi! I've read other related topics, but still can't decide, please help :)

We're a couple in our 40s, it's our second time in Japan. On our first trip we did Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, and Hiroshima. Interested in: food (wagyu, ramen, sushi), wandering around the city, "authentic" vibe. Not very interested: hiking, long nature walks, nightlife. Not a fan of hot and humid (yeah I know, but we could only take vac in June)

This time we're starting in Okinawa and finishing in Tokyo. In between, we have around 7 days. Mid-June. We're fine with either 3-4 days across 2 locations or 2-2-3 across 3 locations.

Should we go north or south?

From what I've read:

  • Hokkaido (Sapporo + Otaru) - better weather, better sushi, more varied food, but more of a "big city" vibe. And if we spend 4 days there, where should we go for the remaining 3 days? Sendai? AIs are arguing if it's worth visiting.
  • Kyushu (Kagoshima, Fukuoka) - better wagyu, volcanic views, more traditional, but hot and humid. More options for stops on the way to Tokyo. Kobe, for example, though I'm not sure if it's worth it.

It would also be great to do a cooking class, a jiu-jitsu class, and some stationery shopping.

Thank you!
