Attempting to upgrade my pretty bad speakers for my PlayStation and essentially make a secondary setup that I just need to be “good enough” or decent, as I’m not looking to spend as much money as my main setup. I’ve been looking at Edifier R1280DBs but i don’t know a whole lot about the fine details of speakers and how different brands sound. Note that the main reason for new speakers is to better my experience for solo-player, story games instead of a music driven purpose.

I'm trying to get a decent second audio setup for gaming purposes since the current setup is pretty bad and hooking it up to my main setup (Audioengine
A5+ and RSL Speedwoofer 10e) won't work out well.
In marketplace, I found a listing for a pair of Edifier R1280DBs speakers and an Edifier T5 subwoofer for $250, everything included (outside of a speaker wire).
How are these speakers and the sub? Is it a good deal?
Additionally, I could just only buy the speakers and attempt to hook it up to my existing 10e sub, but I am concerned about ground loop. These Edifier speakers would be plugged into a different outlet, and maybe even a diffeeent circuit in the house. I would also have to introduce an audio switcher to the sub to allow me to switch what speakers are sending the signal and to be able to get a second pair hooked up at all, which I am also concerned of introducing ground loop.
Thanks in advance for answering any part of this!

Found this while scrolling though marketplace. How legit are these signatures? If it’s only 125 and the sigs seem real, I gotta snatch that up.

I’ve been wanting to upgrade my speakers for my gaming setup, and I’ve realized that connecting it to my current music listening setup isn’t doing to work. I’ve been looking at soundbars with or without additional surround sound speakers and a sub, as well as just normal bookshelf speakers. Because this subreddit is for soundbars, I’m looking for soundbar recommendations. Feel free to recommend a setup that includes additional surround sound speakers or a sub or even both. Absolute max I’ll spend is $350, but ideally I’ll spend about $200.

I’m trying to connect my main speakers to my computer monitor, which is across the room. I don’t know a whole lot about cables and I want to make sure that the cable I buy is good and has enough shielding to not sacrifice sound quality and introduce interference at that distance.
