you should be able to acknowledge that a child is inappropriately dressed without being accused of being a pedophile

this occurs so often on social media and i am so sick of it. a parent will take a video of their child where the outfit is obviously hand selected by the parent and the outfit is clearly inappropriate for someone of their age. people in the comments then rightfully point this out and are accused of being a nonce by people who say "why are you looking at a child that way". everyone can see it and i am sick of people pretending that this issue doesn't exist or that parents have a right to dress their child in wildly inappropriate ways. have some class and dress your child to their age.

What do you think happens first - X vs Reddit

Suppose you make a post on both sites at the same time. What do you think happens first. Getting called a racial slur and doxxed on X or having a mod take down your post on reddit?

I love my hyper capitalist 9-5 office job

Getting to wake up each morning with a secure job knowing that I have some decent co-workers that I get along with and get to come home to a hot wife and a loving family? Nice. Do I care that higher up the chain where I will never be there is probably some bs going on? Nope. Do I care about the broader ethics of my company. Not really. Do I realise that I am a just a cog in a system? Yup. Do I mind being that cog in the system. Not at all.

It is demonstrably the fault of the online left that many countries are in the state that they are as a whole.

A message to the online left.

Anytime that somebody even slightly on the right of the political spectrum as most people currently interpret it is elected into power they have the full backing of virtually anyone that is on the the right no matter how extreme or moderate they may be.

However when it comes to someone on the moderate to left spectrum you guys ( ie Hasan Piker fans etc etc ) seem to think that as soon as they get elected into office that now is the perfect time to critique the hell out of them and refuse to give them there backing. Please read the goddam room. Yes the president of the united states is always going to be a little bit evil they are the president of the united states and it will probably always be that way for the foreseeable future. No we are not going to see an outright communist be the prime minister of the UK.

The left have to back others that are also on the moderate left/centre because those on the right are always going to critique them anyways and the attacking from both sides is how you get folks like Keir Starmer who was objectively a perfectly fine PM to leave because they don't have the backing of anyone.

It's not both wings of the same bird. That attitude is how we get people like Nigel Farage and Trump elected. Sure vote your radical for your local area but ffs when it comes to who leads our country now is not the time to take the moral high ground and not vote and attack your own side, and when they do get in give them your backing because they are likely the best option you have.

There are seriously people in this group who are so pretentious and don't like the England vs France game simply because it was high scoring

That game was what football is all about. You're seriously going to tell us that you would rather watch 1-0 park the bus match and pretend to know the intricacies and nuances of the tactics and strategies that are occuring. No you don't. Nobody does. Stop larping and enjoy an awesome 4-6 thriller like the rest of us.

The Batman is a better movie ( for DC enjoyers ) than The Dark Knight. The Dark Knight is the better superhero film.

The Batman shows more respect to batman's canonic roots as a true crime fighting detective rather than in The Dark Knight where he is a shallow high tech gadget wielding protagonist who is unfortunately overshadowed by one of the greatest on screen performances we will ever see in Heath Ledger. The Dark Knight is the better superhero film but I think has the kobe effect where Heath Ledgers death has canonised it and made it sacreligious to call out any flaws, but The Batman is the better film is you are a DC enjoyer and is frankly criminally under rated.

Hypothetically - NYC vs OKC might just be the most toxic NBA Finals Series we have ever seen...

The discourse surrounding this playoffs series in general has been insane. Combine that with the insanity of Knicks fans and the toxicity surrounding the Spurs vs OKC series?? Also the fact that Hasan Piker and Mamdani have gotten in on the series and also it is quite possibly the bluest state in the US vs the reddest state?? Oh boy we're in for a wild ride...
