I thought of this because of the recent popular Imu is parrot theory. In one mythology where a parrot is false god , and it is killed and overthrown by some twins, i feel like it make sense.
Also i checked the anime episodes of "Ota" before the film red. In the first episode of those they have tried to show shanks evil af., how he talks, smiles, reacts, they even made his eyeball gray to give him a suspicious look. Look at the some of them i added. Maybe in pictures it is not %100 understandable but if you check the episode maybe you'll get what im saying episode 1029
I know that Ota episodes are not cannon but i also know that Oda or some other mangaka like to give some messages or hints in non canon episodes or films that are relatively canon.
So idk if ota episodes was canon i'd %100 say Shanks is evil but right now i can only say maybe they tried to hint something.
It can also be to just fire up Shanks is evil theories that was in those times. But who knows, i genuinly think he can be the last antagonist.
Edit: Now i checked episode 4 again and him living the gomu gomu chest open near Luffy is suspicious, and at the end he says " Give me back the hat as a big pirate." in that moment music changes to being a bit eerie. Can be hints of he is the final boss.
Also if he is evil it looks like only Benn Beckmann knows it or suspicious about it. ( except figarlands )
