For context I am a 30 year old very average looking guy who has rarely dated throughout my entire adult life. I had a very short relationship with a girl who was my classmate in college and we broke up when we realised our career ambitions are very different and would lead us to live in different cities going ahead. She was an amazing person and we both were very good to each other. After that I started preparing for different government exams and very consciously avoided dating as I felt I could never do justice to a relationship while being so engrossed in studies and also the fact that I am not exactly a good looking handsome hunk to attract any female attention.

I cleared and joined a State PSU in a class A equivalent job and nothing changed. Life was ordinary. I then cleared and joined State Administrative services and I suddenly started getting some attention. It was mild and I could deflect it. Now comes the weirdest part- I cleared UPSC CSE 2024 and joined IPS last year. The amount of female attention that I am getting is unsettling.
