The amount of blue checkmark bot accounts that just say stupid shit for engagement or ask stupid questions on Twitter is insane. And they all are from Africa. I don’t know if it’s actually multiple different people and they are all in the same room farming these interactions. Or if it’s actually one guy with several accounts.

YouTube, TikTok, instagram, facebook, I mean damn even Reddit to a degree outside of Titanfolk has way better discourse. Elon musk quite literally ruined the app. By letting anyone have a blue checkmark account while also letting Nazis, racists, etc have a platform.

Sorry for the rant.

In what world did this guy ever get the idea that aot is fascist literature? Aot is a completely anti war, anti racism, anti fascism story and shows the consequences and dangers of these ideals. These morons see a story depict something and just instantly latch on to it as if the story supports it because they can’t engage with anything without viewing it through their own political lens and self inserting themselves. It’s honestly so crazy to see. The same thing happens with frieren. Frieren is not about racism being necessary😭. These people don’t care about the story, characters, writing, themes, etc. they just hyper focus on the political aspect of the show because they feel like they can relate to it in real life.

The signs were always there. The seeds were planted since the beginning. Eren was raised in a 2 parent household with loving parents with no trauma and still shown violent behavior and psychopathic tendencies. One of the first examples is when he brutally kills the 2 kidnappers at 9 years old. Obviously Eren was right for doing this, those people deserved it. But no typical 9 year old is reacting like that. Eren brutally kept stabbing them after they were already dead. Screaming at the top of his lungs referring to them as animals not even human beings. He has blood and guts covered all over him and has no remorse or shock. This is clearly weird behavior and forshadows what’s to come.

There’s several scenes in just S1 alone that clearly shows Eren is unhinged. When they’re chasing Annie in the forest and Levi calls him a real monster and that he can’t be contained. When he’s fighting Annie and out of no where he says “I’m gonna destroy the world.” When he’s killing the titans hes smiling at their demise. When his mom gets killed he doesn’t even question who’s behind this or where the titans came from he just resorts to “I’m gonna slaughter all of them.” Everyone on the scouts has lost loved ones to the titans but Eren is the only one that’s what’s to slaughter all of them. Very weird behavior.

People close to Eren knew he was a ticking time bomb. Mikasa knew it but she tried to ignore it. Armin knew it but he tried to ignore it. They didn’t want to acknowledge the worst parts of their best friend and just focus on the good parts. Jean said it. Levi said it. Reiner said it etc.

Let me preface this. I’m not saying Eren is 100% a psychopath. He has emotions he feels guilt, sad, he’s a very complex individual but he still is unhinged to a degree and is clearly not right in the head.

In S4 we see Eren’s character fully manifest into what he’s always been. A unhinged kid with a destructive nature who’s obsessed freedom so much to the point that he became a slave to it. He never changed, the circumstances is what changed. The enemies changed. Sure he gained more knowledge and understood how complex the world it is and that it’s not black and white. But to his core he never changed.

Which is why in the rumbling part of the story Eren is constantly depicted as a kid. Because of his childish nature and showing he’s still stuck in the forest and continuing the forest by committing a genocide.

Most people who hate the ending will say isayama changed his character by depicting him as unhinged and doing it for himself and not his country. Like what? Eren has always been like this since the beginning but people don’t won’t to accept it because they already have their own head cannon version of Eren in their head and won’t accept anything else.

Eren is my favorite fictional character. But just because I love Eren as a character dosent mean I have to defend everything he does and disregard/excuse all his flaws. Thats such a disingenuous way to engage with the story. You can love a character and still recognize their flaws. You can love Walter white as a character and still be able to acknowledge he had a massive ego since the beginning and it was a ticking time bomb and led to his downfall, the same applies for Eren.

It’s so hilarious to see how hard these Yeagerist manga readers switched up on chapter 131. Leading up to the manga ending they were praising this chapter as the best chapter of aot and the pinnacle of Erens character. And when ch 139 released and just re enforced what Eren said in ch131 and that he’s not some nationalist strictly doing it for his country. Now they switched up because they realized how badly they misinterpreted that chapter. Actually hilarious.

Man oh man. This sketch is what really fueled the Erehisu, Eren is gonna win, 100% rumbling, he’s gonna kill all his friends, head cannons to the highest degree. A portion of manga readers just assumed this was Eren holding Historia baby when it doesn’t even look like him in the drawing. The hair is completely different and looks identical to Grisha. And how would Eren even be able to do this after getting his head cut off by Mikasa. It was clearly Grisha holding Eren telling him you’re free. Isayama released this sketch harmlessly and had no clue what he started lmao.

This is one of the main reasons why the anime ending is so positively received because anime onlys weren’t seeing stuff like this. It’s crazy how much head cannons, theories, reading leaks, reading fan translations, can completely affect your enjoyment of something.

This is one of the main reasons why Eren is my favorite fictional character ever.

Like what are we doing? Death threats over disagreeing with you. This happens so many times when I disagree with these floch worshipers they get so aggressive out of nowhere😂

The political messaging in the show is so on the nose and not subtle at all. Several characters have monologues literally spelling out the stories themes. It just seems people just want to ignore because the messaging doesn’t align with their own personal beliefs. The messages of the show are

1. No real winners
2. The sins of the father
3. Everyone thinks their right
4. The dangers of nationalism
5. The dangers of fascism
6. How propaganda is on both sides of conflicts
7. Children of the forest.
8. History repeats itself
9. Even if history repeats itself we can still strive for peace and enjoy life.

Invaderzz uploaded this video 2 years before the anime ending. Everything he said in this video about Eren’s character in the end of aot was literally vindicated and proven right by the anime ending. He brought up that Eren was never free and became a slave to freedom in his relentless pursuit of freedom. He brought up that Eren was never a perfectly calculated genius and that the immense power he had corrupted him, and that he was the wrong person to have these powers. Then if you remember the discourse at the time Titanfolkers were saying that Invaderzz had no clue what he was talking about and mischaracterizing Eren.

Then the anime ending has Eren out of his own mouth say he’s a slave to freedom and also Eren saying he’s an idiot with too much power on his hands. This video truly age like wine so much to the point I think it’s probably the best Aot video. Did Invaderzz have future memories?

This guy really thinks killing everyone outside the walls suddenly stops the cycle of hatred😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. I can’t believe people engage with the story like this.

Btw I’m joking this is just my opinion. Still I think I might have the best AOT tier list. How good or bad is it.

Both characters play into the “strongest” archetype, but who’s written better

Personally, I would say S4 I think S4 is the peak of the series and the culmination of everything the story has been building up to. It feels like this was the story isayama was trying to tell all along. Erens transformation from hero to villain is one of the best executed transformations I’ve seen. S3 is a masterpiece but somehow S4 is even better in my opinion. What do you think?

I genuinely don’t know how anyone can watch the entirety AOT and come out of it saying Annie never showed any remorse or guilt for her actions even though it’s objectively not true. There are so many scenes of it and you have to actively ignore the scenes because of your bias or straight up skipping over them.

The amount of misogyny for this is character is just ridiculous because in the same show their are male characters who did even worse things then her and don’t get nearly enough hate. And people say oh she didn’t suffer like what? Did you watch the show? Her whole life was suffering she was literally physically abused by her dad so she could turn into a weapon. And was forced on a mission that mind you she didn’t even want to continue. But somehow she enjoys killing people but simultaneously doesn’t want to continue the mission that allows her to kill more people make it make sense. Not even just that she was stuck in a crystal for 4 years CONSCIOUS. That is absolute torture to be stuck in your body aware of your surroundings unable to move for 4 years, but people downplay it because she’s a female.

People talk about the yoyo scene. Can any of you even give me the name of the scout she did that to? Since y’all care so much about it. Have you ever once thought that she did that as a an intimidation tactic or that she was doing this as way to cope with what she’s doing. The hate that Annie receives for that scene is so performative like you guys act like one scene defines a whole character. Same thing when Gabi kills Sasha, y’all act like that one scene defines her whole character and there’s no turning back. Just another example of misogyny.

People say oh they forgave her to easily. Can you show me a single scene or panel in the whole show of any character from the alliance forgiving Annie. Nobody forgiven her their deciding to work together because they have no other choice and need as many resources as possible. In fact when they’re on the wagon headed to the port Annie asked Jean if he forgives her and he doesn’t even respond back.

Most of the people on the alliance didn’t even witness the horrors Annie did or had emotional ties with them other than Levi’s squad, marco. And Marco doesn’t even count because Reiner was the one who forced Annie to do it and took accountability of the situation. You really expect Levi to chastise Annie for what she did when Levi knows that she was a brain washed child solider being manipulated by the Marley government. Levi is way more mature than that. Levi himself when he was young was in a similar situation and was killing people and committing crimes. Moral of the story everyone has blood on their hands. It’s makes no sense for the scouts to punish Annie for what she did in S1 when the scouts just recently did what Annie did to their to hometown to hers raiding Libero. There even.

Where was the outrage when Erwin said out of his own mouth he was sacrificing his own comrades for his selfish dreams. Where was the outrage when Reiner broke down the wall and killed thousands of people way more than Annie. And kept continuing and killing more people for his own selfish goals because wanted to be hero and gain respect. Where was the outrage when armin nuked a whole port and killed thousands of innocent people. Where was the outrage when Eren was actively committing the most horrific act in the history of humanity.

All these character have something in common and it’s that they were men. I could get into how this same misogyny applies to Gabi and mikasa but that is a whole different conversation. People, especially some people who watch AOT cannot comprehend flawed/messy female characters. If a female Character is even slightly flawed or edgy or not morally perfect she’s just downplayed and hated but if a male character has the same traits there are praised to no end for their amazing writing.
