I let my buddy fly my drone for the first time in about a week, and he decided to fly it near the pool. I panicked and immediately put it in rice for a good 3 minutes before researching and finding out that rice is actually terrible for drones. I found that an isopropyl alcohol bath would’ve been way more effective since it helps displace the water so I did that instead. I’ve since disassembled it and cleaned it properly. Now I’m letting it sit in front of a fan for 48+ hours before reassembly. Video here

Took a nice crash today. After the flight, I went to pull out my battery and noticed it was a little crumpled and wouldn’t slide out properly. I had to gently bend it back into shape so I could get it out. Should I dispose of it safely, or can I keep flying it? It was dented/crumpled pretty bad 🥲
