[US] Possible muse scam? Is there a way I can safely interact or should I run away completely?

Someone from my college who I have about 100 mutuals with is an artist and saw that I’m also an artist. I recently posted some pictures of myself and they asked if they can use my newest one in an art piece to which I said sure. Then they said they’d pay me 500 dollars as they are selling the piece for 2000 and apparently already have a client. This seems like a lot of money for just a selfie. I said they didn’t have to pay me but they wanted proof in case I tried to sue them apparently. Just curious if this was legit whether there is a safe way for me to accept money. Zelle seems to be eh and I’m not stupid enough to accept gift cards or pay people back I don’t know. I feel a bit wary about this, but it would be cool if it’s true and this person did send me a bunch of their art.
Edit: yeah yall confirmed my gut feeling here. Dang but yeah this definitely sounded weird. Curious how the scammer got ahold of the art account though or whether this person from my college is a scammer part time

Newbie trying to decide where to invest ~1000 dollars for long term (40yr?) benefits with minimal upkeep.

I’m at the crossroads of deciding as I want to invest some money on Chase. So as a result I’d really only want advice on stocks that I can invest there without additional fees such as commission. Also, fractional share stocks would be greatly preferred.

I have two options that I am considering. One is going like 90% VT and 10% QQQM. Another is 40% VTI, 20% SCHD, 15% QQQ 15% VXUS and 10% VNQ. The first option is what I have gathered based on my limited research. The second option was recommended to me from a friend who is not an expert but is constantly trading stocks and very involved and interested in the stock market. Mind you, I have basically no background knowledge so if you say pick what I think is the better choice, I have no clue.

Edit: So based on what I’m seeing I should get rid of SCHD and maybe do an index because of the overlap? So first option essentially?

Graduating student living in Westchester but moving to Long Island

Hi, I’m looking for advice as I’m currently living in Westchester. I’m graduating this year and need to start finding a job. I’m curious what industries to look into but my main concern is work life balance and with that, commute. I have a 9-5 where I travel to NYC and the train ride is honestly kinda brutal although I love my internship otherwise. I get the most realistic option is probably commuting to the city so that when I move I can still access my job. But I’m wondering what hybrid/remote industries exist. Also, does anyone know companies that operate in both Westchester and Long Island where I can switch offices easily. I’m really getting stressed about this but given I am moving in a year after I graduate or even shorter than that, it’s not like I have much time to get settled in. I also would prefer 7-3 to 9-5 because I want more time after work. Additionally I’m wondering if people know of companies and industries that have hybrid or even better, remote work models with great work life balance.
Edit: By brutal train ride I mean long mostly, just over an hour. I know from Long Island it would be even worse, the Metro North is far nicer. I get it’s not the worst thing on Earth but still, I wish I could be home right after work and have time in the morning before work to do chores.

How to reset TCM program on 2019 se

I bought the car used and don’t know how the previous owner drove. The transmission doesn’t feel like it’s dying, but I don’t know if the way it’s programmed works the best with how I drive and I want to keep the car kicking as long as possible. How do I reset this at home? I have no tools or car knowledge so the pedal and key method seems appealing, but I don’t know if it works on the newer fiestas.
