Does reserve solider Ph 1 have any transferability to CCS at RMAS

Hi everyone, I’m in the process of joining a new reserve unit after a long and annoying medical stand down. My job situation has changed since I was last in training and I was wondering I’m weighing up my options in terms of time commitment for pursuing the CCS at Sandhurst. Does anyone know if reserve soldier phase 1 has any equivalency to any of the Modules of the CCS? It’s all changed since I was last able to train

Document upload virus nightmare

Hi everyone, we’re having a really hard time uploading documents onto VFS because no matter what we do, the documents always appear to be ‘virus infected’. We’ve managed a workaround on a few of them by converting them to PDF As but it hasn’t always worked. Does anyone know of a fix or what might be causing the issue?

Do we upload the document checklist before bio or after?

Hi everyone, do we need to print and sign our document checklist at the biometrics appointment or do we need to upload this ahead of the appointment? We noticed that the checklist says to wait until the appointment to sign the document but it doesn’t state if this is the biometrics appointment or not?

Our document checklist says standard even though we booked priority. Is this normal?

Hi everyone, we are just in the process of uploading documents and we reloaded that our document checklist has a box at the top that reads ‘standard’ despite us having paid priority.

We have proof that we have paid for the service but this document appears to contrast with that. We have proof of payment to confirm that we booked priority service. Is this normal or should we contact VFS or UKVI to check this?

VFS global priority payment screen stuck on loading

Hi everyone, we just booked bio and did priority service. When we paid, we received the confirmation email but the page has been stuck for around 2 hours now. Are we okay to refresh it or how should we proceed? We want to upload the documents

IHS payment problems

Hi everyone, we’re on the process of paying for the IHS but it keeps saying that the transaction is unsuccessful. Both me and my partner are stumped. We’ve made sure that there’s more than enough funds to make it work. Has anyone encountered issues with this?

Where to request letter of employment?

Hi everyone, I’m in the process of putting together documents to sponsor my partner’s visa and I was wondering where I can get hold of a signed letter from the company that states my hours, contract type, hours rate and can certify that my payslips are genuine? Is there an email address or is it something that I can request from colleague help etc?

Thanks in advance

How is minimum income requirement calculated across two jobs?

Hi everyone, I have 2 jobs. One is salaried and the other is hourly on a fixed contract. How is the earning requirement calculated across the two jobs? Is it the minimum income the combined total of both of the lowest gross pays within 6 months multiplied by 12 or is it calculated differently?

I have been paid more or less by both jobs each month in the past 6. My main job has deductions for health insurance, travel insurance and paid me less in May due to unpaid leave but the the same month at my other job paid me enough to bridge that gap, however, unpaid leave at the second job has also resulted in me earning less in some months as well.

Proof of relationship document, recommended structure?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any recommendations for how to structure our proof of relationship document. We’re gathering the documents for a spouse visa and we don’t really know what to do in terms of structuring the document, how long it should be (in terms of pages) and how much or how little to include for photos and evidence.

For context, we have been together in person 5 times over the past 2 years and we have travelled once together outside of both of our home countries so we plan to include information such as flight documents and photos showing that we have been to multiple locations, met each other’s friends and family etc. I have also been supporting my partner financially since they lost their job in January by sending money to cover bills and rent so we plan on including proof of that in the document as well.

Thanks in advance

Is a delay email after bio guaranteed?

Hi everyone, is the delay email now standard for applications? I’ve been seeing a lot of people on here mentioning it and was wondering if there’s just a huge backlog that’s causing them or if it’s just case-specific details that cause the delay?

Many thanks in advance

Bank statements question

Hi everyone, I’m in the process of gathering documents for my partner’s application. With regards to bank statements, is there consensus on what to provide, will a printed statement from my local bank branch suffice or do I need to have it signed?

Priority application timeline and entry date question (outside of the UK)

Just a quick question to ask how accurate the 6 week turnaround for a priority application is for a spouse visa?

Also, is the entry date decided by the decision makers or are we able to state a preferred date in our application? My partner would ideally (if the application is successful) like to arrive in time for my birthday but we don’t know if that’s out of our control or not.

Financial requirements after recent pay increase

Hi everyone,

myself and my partner are in the process of sorting documents to apply for the visa. I started my current job in October last year at a base salary of £29,500 which meets the minimum requirement. I just received my letter from work supporting my salary, start date etc and it turns out that I received an annual incremental pay rise in April (that I was not made aware of) that would put my salary to £30,050 as stated in the letter. Given that it hasn’t been six months since my pay increase, will this cause an issue for the application or does me earning above the minimum threshold the whole time meet the requirement regardless of any increases?

Thanks in advance!

Tonex pedal as interface vs running into interface

Hi everyone, I'm currently recording some songs and I have been using my tonex pedal (full three switch version) to go directly into my Ipad running logic but the volume has been so much lower on interface mode versus live mode. I have an audio interface for recording vocals and acoustic guitar so I was wondering if it would be more advantageous to just plug the pedal directly into the interface to get greater volume? Does anyone else have experience with this?
