Created this mashup. Might make it a bootleg. Thoughts?

I was just messing around with the levels melody because I wanted to try and make something and I search up songs that were in the same key as levels and summertime sadness by Lana Del Rey is actually in the correct key and the correct tempo I set the project to which is 112 BPM. I was trying to make something sad and emotional and I think maybe if I boosted the temper a bit and messed around a bit more this could be quite a cool mashup. What do we think?

Why did Avicii used to put a limiter on his master track when mixing?

Remember his 2010 future music interview where he put a limiter on his master track and started producing the song into a limiter? I wanna try that trick to see if it helps me with my mixes in anyway, but I was just wondering if anyone knows that actually what it does and what settings he actually used? I’m sure there’s some people that know the details. Thanks!

8th week producing, a little idea of mine. Any feedback?

I tend to post in here quite frequently for feedback as everyone’s just so helpful! This is another project I’ve got going just wondered if it sounds catchy and if I should start producing it. I understand the mix isn’t perfect. It’s kind of just a rough idea. I tend to do the mixing after I’ve got the idea onto the playlist. This song is also heavily inspired by levels by Avicii.

How’s the mix?

I made a post a few days ago showcasing this new track. For the most part it had positive feedback but I did listen to the criticism and worked on the mix and this is what I’ve currently got. I was just wondering how the mix is right now? Does anyone know what I need to adjust? I am new to this so I don’t have the best ear for mixing. Let me know what you think!

Feedback on this song?

I made a post in here a few days ago on a song I created and everyone gave me some very helpful criticism so I’m back and this is something I’ve created over the last few days and I’m still working on it.

I’ve been working on this song recently now I’ve not been producing for long so I mean I know it’s not gonna be the best. I’m just looking for some constructive criticism. I’ve gone for a progressive piano house style song I found this chord progression which was very rhythmic and very melodic in my opinion from an old project when I first opened up FL studio back in last December but didn’t really have the knowledge or the skills to create a decent or at least listenable song with it. I imported it into this project and I did a few more notes to create actual chords and it sounds good to me, but I’m just wondering what other people think as I know that there’s gonna be loads of people in this server that are gonna be way more experienced than me. What do you think I could do better? Is there anything I could add? Maybe I could create more tension? Does it sound under produced? I’m open to anything constructive. Just for a heads up the vocals on the song right now are only temporary they were made with Suno and I don’t plan to keep them they are simply just there as a placeholder so I can get an idea of what I want my vocals to sound like and it works well to showcase the song in a demo version as I don’t currently have proper vocals, which is what I’m doing here. Thanks!

Is it common practice in music production to layer the chords?

I’m currently working on something and I’ve always found it good to give a more full sound to double the chords and then put them an octave higher or an octave lower depending on how high the notes are already. Is this common practice or is it not typically done?

Is this a good beat? I’ve been producing for about 3 weeks now.

Just been making this beat in FL studio I got inspired by a song called Hollywood baby by 100 gecs and I liked the rock kits that they had in the song and the rock guitar riff so I decided to make this song inspired on them. It’s currently in progress. What you will see in this preview is the intro all the way to the post chorus and I’m working on it. As I say, I’ve been producing for a short amount of time any help or any tips anyone could give me I’d appreciate it. What are all your thoughts? also, just a heads up some people might point out that the drums and the kicks are quite loud. That’s just me trying to get the signature hyper pop sound by adding a blood overdrive and eq. It’s also not mixed yet so it’s gonna be unbalanced.

Hot take: Twenty One Pilots might be one of the only bands that actually understood the internet before everyone else caught up.

Hear me out — every era feels like a completely different universe, but it’s all still connected. Blurryface fans grew up, Trench felt like a full cinematic experience, and now it’s like they’re quietly building lore in the background while everyone argues about genre labels.

Also… there’s no other band where “sad lyrics over upbeat music” has basically become a lifestyle for a whole generation.

Genuine question: are they underrated, overrated, or just impossible to rate normally anymore?

What does Matthew 5:20 mean?

I was reading Matthew 5:20 and I’ve only started reading the bible recently. And I came across the lines “For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.” I’m just slightly confused with what this means and was wondering if anyone could clarify for me. Thanks ☺️

Why remake of twenty one pilots stressed out

My remake of stressed out twenty one pilots.

I’ve been producing for about two weeks now and today I decided I want to re-create stressed out by twenty one pilots. This is the intro and the verse that I’ve worked on today. What are your thoughts? Just bear in mind that this isn’t actually mixed yet either so something things might be louder than others. This is just a rough idea :)

Want to get singing lessons. Anyone got good websites or recommendations?

I am currently trying to seriously improve my vocals. I’ve got decent natural pitch and rhythm but I need proper structure, especially breath control and consistency.

Preferably looking for 1-to-1 lessons (online is fine). Not trying to go full classical—more modern/pop style and artist development.

If anyone has recommendations for good vocal coaches, websites, or platforms to start with, I’d really appreciate it.
