DY9 Frame compatible

Thinking about buy a DY9 as a range toy. I saw some report about DY9 frame using glock upper. Are there any limits? like only works for gen 4. Is there anyone tried to convert it to a .40S&W with glock 23 slide?

FTE problems after 1k rounds

I recently got 2 FTE problems on my 43x. They are on two different range trips. Both on winchester white box 115 gr (maybe same batch even) ammo, and both on the first two mags of each trip. I'm pretty sure I lubricated before each trip. Last night, when I disassembled the slide, I did notice a little bit different on the extractor. Not really wear out of metal part, but more like finishing on the surface broken. I did some stupid things before. Put a snap cap directly into the chamber and released the slide, maybe a dozen times. Not sure it means I should replace the extractor or not. Is there anyone got similar experience?

I will try to uploade a picture of the extractor when I can.

Why not .40 S&W anymore?

.40 S&W pistols and ammo are far less popular that even 10 years ago. I understand the modern tech makes 9mm as good as old .40 S&W. But is that meaning current .40 S&W may be as good as .45 ACP or something like that? It's snappier but also higher capacity than regular .45? Why most people choose either 9mm or .45 ACP other than .40 S&W? Is there anyone still carry .40 S&W as their CCW?

Thinking about a glock 19 build. No need to be fancy, just want to have fun in range. I'm thinking either a SCT frame with Dagger upper, or just a complete Dagger. Any suggestion? I know Gritgrip is also very popular, but not in my budget right now. I can get a SCT frame from LGS, without FFL fee. A little bit advantage on price.
