How long after leaving Fido am I considered a new activation if I return?

I'm planning to quit Fido and go to Freedom. If Freedom coverage is poor in my area (Burlington down to Niagara, ON) I would need to go back to Fido.

Does anyone know how long it takes for Fido to consider me a new customer? I ask because I assume I could get a better deal as new activation as opposed to a returning customer.

KDE and Win 11 dual boot via GRUB?

I have a mini PC that came with Win 11 Pro, I resized the partitions and installed KDE Neon. When I boot I get the GRUB menu that lists KDE Neon and Windows 11 boot partitions and I can pick either one and whichever one I pick boots and runs without issues.

In grub KDE Neon is the default and I want to change that to Windows 11, but Win 11 boot loader isn't listed in grub so I can't make it the default. I have disabled Fast Start for Win 11 and run update-grub.

Here is my grub file (after running update-grub):

# If you change this file, run 'update-grub' afterwards to update
# /boot/grub/grub.cfg.
# For full documentation of the options in this file, see:
#   info -f grub -n 'Simple configuration'

GRUB_DEFAULT=5
GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE=menu
# hidden
GRUB_TIMEOUT=5
# 0
GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR='KDE neon 6.2'
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=""

# If your computer has multiple operating systems installed, then you

# filesystems to look for things.

# Uncomment to disable generation of recovery mode menu entries
#GRUB_DISABLE_RECOVERY="true"

# Uncomment to get a beep at grub start

When I run update-grub this is the output:

If I set UEFI with KDE as primary it loads the grub menu, If I set Win 11 as the primary it boots directly into Win 11.

How can I add the Win 11 boot loader to grub so I can set it as default? Or am I stuck with changing the UEFI Primary boot device every time I want to change OSes? I am running the current version of KDE Neon "User Edition"

My Google fu has failed me in finding an answer. ETA: Formatting

▲ 97 r/Scams

Had an odd encounter the other day and I wonder if it was part of some sort of scam.

Took my son out for dinner at a fast food place. He is seated at a table and I'm filling the drinks. A guy 20-ish comes up behind me and asks if I'll keep an eye on his phone for a few minutes and points over to short wall next to the table where my son is seated. There is a phone there. I say to him I won't be able to keep an eye on or be sure no one takes it. He replies with "So, no then.", takes his phone and leaves.

I was trying to figure out if this just an weird encounter or is part of some sort of scam, like claiming I switched phones on him or ??? The place was almost empty so there was no one recording this as part of some stupid prank. Other than asking me to watch his phone he didn't look or act like someone with a mental health issue, no indication of intoxication either.

Any scamologists here recognize this as a known scam ? I didn't find anything when searching for 'watch phone scam' and variations of that.
