Question for other Autistics. Do evey suffer from. Reverse permanence.

I don't know what to call it. But I've noticed in my life I just find it odd

I literally don't have emotional or physical attachments that fade. If I see someone after 10 yrs I still feel.same good or bad eith them. While most just don't.

Emotions. Objects anything. Its like I put it down. And I pick it back up at same place emotionally. Even can do that with none emotional stuff

Magic and you, the rules.

I saw some people discussing magic rulings yesterday and wanted to take a second to say. If you break it down, and just take your time their not as hard as everything seems. Also, a lot of old hats have tricks which can help make the rules easier. So anyone want to add to this please do.

  1. What effect do you want and can you do it with your paradigm.

  2. can you explain it through your spheres.

  3. Roll with mods

  4. Apply successes on your charts

  5. Filter that through your characters paradigm and tradition/etc

  6. Calculate your paradox if any using Vulgar with, vulgar without or Domino rules.

  7. What effect do you want and 2. can you explain it through your spheres.

Edited to add make sure this fits youre paradigm also. For me I guess I always do it subconsciously after so long lol

this is part of the most difficult parts. figuring out what your magic can do and how to make it work. Honestly. the only way here is experience. you do it. the easier this will become.

Suggestion : Research spheres online and rotes. You will find dozens of ideas you didn't have because others look at spheres differently. Or have different ideas on how to apply them. the more

  1. Just simple roll.
Arete vs Diff Highest sphere +3< Con> +4 <V w/o> or +5 <V/w>. add in difficulties for fast casting, Minus for your personal stuff < person foci, spent quin etc> and then any other mods < extended rituals etc>.

Yes, your difficulty can go above 10 if you try vulgar with witnesses a sphere 5 or even a coincidental sphere 5 quickly. Mages are creatures that do best with time, preparation and stacking the deck so to speak.

This becomes easier as you do it. And as the St controls some of this, dont worry about everything as he can set some mods. Suggestion here? Write a note card if IRL, or a note file. with your characters common modifiers. personal focus etc. on it. so you always can remember them easier.

  1. Apply successes to charts.
You spend one to make the effect happen unless someone home rules it. and then just divvy up the successes. based on the charts. this means Powerful effects need often extended casting, or multiple rounds. Mages are creatures of power and planning. they can set up a lot bullshit ahead of time.

suggestion here: Remember how short a combat round actually is. it seems put things in perspective when i do. Most mages stack the deck, and rely on prepared stuff in quick moments. Also dont forget magic can be used to enhance your skills. and easily explained.

5.Filter that through your characters paradigm and tradition/etc. this does include foci.

just explain it through how your characters would do this. some rush this step. and i am not saying take ten minutes to explain each spell. but this helps you understand your character also.

A simple rote of Mind cleansing. could be very different based on either of those two factors.

dont skip this step most of the time even if only for speed, its a huge part of your character. this is one of the ones comes with experience. i often tell new players think a few mock spells through their characters logic a few times each session before we start.

  1. Paradox. simple and clean. suggestion here? enjoy rping it out when it happens

Spirit warrior archetype question

Is it me. Or is https://2e.aonprd.com/Feats.aspx?ID=7024 Cutting heaven Crushing earth insane ?

Your skill in combining fist and blade has grown into a seamless art where each attack makes an opponent more vulnerable to the next. As long as you have invested and are wearing a set of handwraps of mighty blows, you also apply their runes to a single weapon you’re wielding that can be used with your Overwhelming Combination ability. You gain the following benefits.

When you successfully Strike an opponent with this weapon, it’s off-guard to the next Strike you make against it with a fist unarmed attack before the end of your next turn.

When you successfully Strike an opponent with your fist unarmed attack, it’s off-guard to the next Strike you make against it with a one-handed, agile, or finesse melee weapon before the end of your next turn.

Does that mean for someone who almost always wears the hand wraps. Then can pick up any weapon that's apprioate for the runes ?

Amd what if I use my already enchanted weapon

I have a mid range rogue who wears handwraps often at times reflsvored as gloves

So checking as the gm said the archtypes ok.
