Anyone else a fan of Stargate and feel like the messengers and astral kings saga feels a lot like Goa'uld and jaffa

In the later books we learn about bigger cosmic entities. We find that even the biggest entities can sometimes come from simple mortals.

We learn from characters that there is a rank or possibly more higher than diamonds but I have a question on this. So you rank from iron to diamond by either monster cores or through experience. Do dimon rankers do the same from diamond to transcendence or does a larger cosmic entity have to help you with that transition by granting authority or something like that. I am on book 9 mid chapter 70s so no huge spoilers past that please.

Currently I have a mid level engineered Krait MKII for my combat ship. I like having a fighter bay but not a deal breaker. I have not unlocked the fed Corvette yet anyway so that ship is off the board. I do like the medium ship size though. What is a better alternative other than the Krait?

Been looking at the python mkII or the Corsair but not sure if either is better than the Krait or just a lateral move. Or other ship suggestions.

This is just for pve purposes. Maybe for operation ship fights mostly where it seems like defense is more a need than normal bounty hunting.

I am pretty terrible at designing a base. Anyone have a base that meant for a duo/ small group for endgame. Like room for a couple assaults, a buggy, sand crawler and a carrier?
